    Groundwater Issues

I used to have a lot more time on my hands to do google searches, but that all changed recently. I would appreciate it if someone could post a good link to a site which may help me with some ideas. I have a very serious ground water issue. My lot is water logged, killing my lawn, garden and...

Does anyone else have digital cable and see the series on terrorism? Did anyone else see the program titled "In The Name Of God"? I would be interested in getting some viewpoints.

    Author: John Piper

I am reading "The Passion Of Jesus Christ" written by him. He amazes me with his ability to talk to ME!! He makes me understand in a way that as a former instructor I can truley relate to. Does anyone know of any other books he has written which they would like to comment on, I would...

Child, Assumed Dead, Found Alive And Well 6 Years Later

Dateline: Philly, March 2004. 6 years ago a home burned in my old neighborhood (Feltonville). An infant child was believed to have been consumed in the fire (no traces were ever found). Just the other day that child was found living, across the river in New Jersey with a woman who was...

Mary speaks out about the "Passion" and Mel

From today's Philly Daily Newz, .......the actress who plays Mary says neither Gibson nor his film are anti-Semetic. Maria Morgenstern should know. She's Jewish. She's from Romania. And her parents are Holocaust survivors. If there is a message, Maria says, it's more about how people...

    Orthodox Mass

I attended services with my family at their Ukrainian Catholic Church last night. It was said in english so I was able to read along with the printed mass. I forgot just how many times, during the liturgy, that the priest gives up prayers for all of the "Orthodox Christians".. My question is...

    Parmalat, Italy's Enron?

Read in the news today that the company claims to have $4.9 billion (usd) in a Cayman Islands business of theirs. Turns out that the claim is bogus. The company is Italy's biggest food company. I can remember back in 80' getting my first "box" of Parmalat milk when over there and was blown...

    Now I'm A Little Nervous

A boss of mine was relaying a news story he heard on I believe foxnews. In it an Iraqi general admitted that the WMDs were sent across the borders into Iran and Syria. The part that makes me sweat is that it said that Israel will most likely go into Syria to find them. Can anyone add to this...

    Now, For Something Completely Different

Sorry, but I just had to share these two tidbits I found in the LA Times: A retired Marine from Las Vegas won $19.6 million on a "Red, White and Blue" Megabucks machine during his weekly stop at the Stardust Resort and Casino, officials said. When 69-year-old Jake Latulip was asked what he...

To Those Who Opposed The Iraqi War

I can't stop anyone from posting in this thread, but I will ask you all to respect my intent. I am asking everyone who opposed the war and who opposes the occupation to post here what they felt should have been done with the whole picture. With Saddam, his support of terrorism, his "claim" of...

    Another Sniper On The Loose?

It's still very early, but news out of West Virginia says another sniper may be on the loose. 3 people have been shot in the head/neck at night at gas stations with the same weapon. They haven't released a caliber, but if no one is seeing or hearing anything it very well may be a sniper.

    New Fatwa Issued

According to CNN and FoxNews: "Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, a Shiite leader who had been under house arrest in Iraq, issued a fatwa urging Iraqis to remain calm and not to interfere with coalition troops."     This needs to be frontpage news.  Let the...

    Al-jazeera out of iraq

I don't like the sound of that.  CNN reported that iraq "expelled" (yea, right) reporters from certian cities so the news service pulled it's reporters from Baghdad.  What worries me is now that there is no one to see what is going on, what will that evil tyrant do when no one is...

    "Truth About Bowling For Columbine"

I was sent this via email and found it interesting.  Truth be told, I kinda liked Michael Moore's last movie about Detroit, but after his last movie and especially after the oscar's I really detest the man.  I'm not crazy about posting links, but it is a rather lengthy article...
