    Favorite DC characters?

I plan on going through my collection soon to pare it down and get rid of things I won't read again. A lot of the darker stuff will get sold (and I too have trashed rather than sell a few books I bought in my younger days. They were "mainstream" then but they don't fit with the relationship I...

    Favorite DC characters?

I stopped buying my last few DC comics around Identity Crisis and Infinite Crisis. The universe had always had its dark corners, but the tone of the entire line became so negative and those series told me it was time to walk away. My last DC comic was an issue of Booster Gold. It is a real...

    Comic Books!

There was a comic called Mighty Samson that was published by Dell in the 60s or 70s. It was a post-apocalyptic hero. I have a few but can't remember if they were any good or not!

God watches over our four legged children too.

Great story. You are right. God sends them to us. I have seen animals unexpectedly arrive in someone's life and bring much needed joy and love. It happened to me. I have one that I call my 'angel cat'. She is a bit ill now and any prayers would be welcomed.

    Bazza's Iron-Man suit build

What an incredible reproduction! I haven't seen the movies but I have hundreds of Iron Man comics...to me you even LOOK like Tony Stark inside that armor! You've got to find a Halloween party to attend this fall...you'll win. (Do you have Halloween in Australia?)

    Worst books ever?

The Bridges of Madison County. I listened to it on tape many years back, read by the author. It wasn't that it was overly sappy (it was sappy), but I didn't see the lead characters as heroic or feel any affection for them. The book was basically a justification for adultery. The part with the...

    Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Michaels

I know it is probably unusual for a guy to like this author, but she's a favorite of mine. I used to listen to books on tape (back when they were ON tape!) and bought Night Train to Memphis. It was read by Kathleen Turner who did a phenomenal job with narration and different voices for Vicky...

Can You Recommend A Book To Inspire Me?

I recently finished Landmines in the Path of the Believer by Charles Stanley. It is a simple guide at common traps we fall into and the Christian method of avoiding them. I've learned (the hard way) that God's path is the best path, and when we stray from it we are hurt; when we stay on it life...

Song that puts a "lump in your throat"...

"One More Time" by Michael W. Smith has become an anthem for me. The entire album, Wonder, is inspiring.
