It was basically a post regarding a BBN news piece in which a Lioness on an African preserve "adopted" a baby Oryx. I saw the broadcast on CNN and it just kind of startled me. It seems a lioness stumbled upon a baby Oryx (similar to a Gazelle) whose mother had apparently gone off in search of food. The lion "adopted" the Oryx and took care of it as it would its own cub for about two weeks. According to witnesses, who gathered in jeeps to document the unprecedented phenomenon, the lioness allowed the mother Oryx to feed the baby a couple of times before chasing her away. It ended when another lion killed the baby Oryx while its "adopted" mother was sleeping.
What was funny is that CNN interviewed one of the locals who said "maybe it's the end of the world"...
anyway...I just thought it would spur a little discussion.
Isaiah 11:6 talks about the millennium after Jesus returns and says:
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling[1] together; and a little child will lead them.
