  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Paul said"I speak in tongues more than you all" "I would that you all speak in tongues".Speaking in other languages is an evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. But we are not just filled with the Holy Spirit to speak in tongues. Jesus said," You shall be witnesses for me in Jerusalem and Judea and in Samaria and even to the ends of the earth'. The promise of the Holy Spirit is not just for the early disciples but for their children and to all those who afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call'

Being filled with the Spirit is sent as a promise, as such, ", , all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen". We do well not to quench that filling by writing it off as 'past' or any other personal justification to turn from the promise.

Living for God will always have us involving others.
Quite certain, my support of the spiritual witness and NT pastoral stewardship are now known. IMO, if any deliberately opposes the acknowledgement of these, all fellowship is sub-biblical.
