CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
She was an orphan adopted from Iran by a US veteran 50+ years ago and has been raised Christian. Trump wants to deport her back to Iran.

Well, that's the problem. That was the Obama plan, to go after dangerous criminals first.. And Trump hates Obama, and is doing whatever he can to cancel anything Obama did. So ICE is rounding up children, roofers, and other non-dangerous illegal aliens first. The upside, is, they are easier to find and catch. Gotta keep the quotas, you know.

What we all keep forgetting is the sheer dedicatory malice this woman must have had as a toddler to probably conspire to have her parents killed and adopted into a well meaning but clearly addled American Christian man. Then the vindictive patience to wait decades before the eve of the nuclear strike Iran was definitely going to do on America before making her move.

In March of 2025, the Trump administration adopted a policy of providing the Iranian government with confidential information from the immigration files of Iranians seeking asylum in the United States. The asylum seekers include pro-democracy protestors, members of religious minorities such as Evangelical Christians, or members of the LGBTQ community who seek refuge in the United States because of the grave dangers they face in Iran. Disclosing their confidential information to the Iranian government violates federal regulations requiring confidentiality, endangers their family members and acquaintances who may still be residing in Iran, and puts those who are subject to removal to Iran at risk of persecution, torture, and death following their arrival in Iran.

Her parents dropped the ball in not naturalizing her. Adopted foreign children are typically acquire citizenship when admitted. Unless the law has been dramatically changed, there is more to this story.

“I have been identified to the very government I ran away from,” one asylum seeker wrote in a signed declaration.Iranian converts to Christianity and political dissidents from the Islamic Republic who sought asylum in the United States made detailed allegations in new court filings, claiming that U.S. immigration officials gave details of their asylum claims to Iran’s government in a bid to ease their deportation back to the country they fled.
At least six Iranians said they were visited in immigration detention facilities by Iranian officials based in the United States who knew details from their asylum cases and used the information to put pressure on them to agree to be returned to Iran, according to the allegations. The alleged disclosure of their asylum claims puts their lives in peril if they are returned home, the Iranian detainees stated.
