  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank God for the simple things in life He chooses to elevate, or, does He elevate? Sometimes? In His hands? Always, without altering their estate.

This is a (much revisited) contemplation of the Lord's table. To be clear, I have not departed the pasture of Eucharist communion though the AOG is not so intertwined. This is therefore a consideration of the formulation that wherever applicable, has elevated it to where it staked it's revision. Some of which hold to "spiritual renewal" through the table.

"In summary, if the standard of tradition is the humility and simplicity of Christ’s Upper Room, any pretentious or sensationalized handling constitutes a departure from that original Apostolic foundation."

Thanks and feel free to provide your insights for all errors present.

Communion, The Biblical Tradition

Salvation and Communion

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." (John 6:53)

"Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy, , How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let [the things that have happened since the wolves entered still] be done for edification." (1Cor 14:1,26)

Which faction secured interpretation with edification for the Lord? Few. Which went through an un-checked duration, collectively seared to challenge and outwardly drift from edification, decimate and scattered the flock? Did that scattering rise to a sectarian state left to be 'formalized'? Of course it has. It has sought self-bolstering to seek the palatable high-ground.

"Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, ," (Psalm 1:1)

God of the living and glorious Lord Jesus, forgive us our many faults!
