  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sharing my burden is too much to ask i guess. You accuse me of manipulation. Do you realize this will haunt me just like every other time Christians have done it to me? What side are you on? Isn't it possible that im speaking from a heart of pain and not trying to manipulate you?

Unfortunately, Christians don't share burdens (or blessings) among strangers even though Jesus taught people to do so.

Because:
- it's difficult
- Christians are still imperfect humans (selfish, greedy, self-centered, etc)

It sucks but that's reality. You're observing human nature. Never hold other Christians to a higher standard than unbelievers, you'll just be disappointed.

The sooner you accept this, the better off you'll be.

You think we've never seen your type come on here before?

Some of us have been here quite a long time. I've been here since 2007 and before that when I was just watching. I've seen you and others come on here seeking justification for their positions and choices, wanting to argue with us over it.

Scripture says not to forsake the assemblies of ourselves together. If you want to refuse that, go ahead. If you've got things all figured out, why are you on here trying to argue with us about it? We've got better topics to discuss.
Christ also said:
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
And do you really think He leaves us when we are alone?
Check yourself.
We should all check ourselves before, we like a brood of hens, peck to death those who seek refuge, spiritual food, and rest.

I did not read where he said he had everything figured out, or even implied he has.

Christ found it necessary to retreat alone.

He is with every believer always, alone or in company.

"...teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

"“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

How would you describe this forum?
It is is an online assembly.
And I would say the conversations can be in greater depth than most in a Sunday morning building.

This place is populated by:
The weak and weary
Believers in various stages of growth
Decievers and self the absorbed
The humble
The smug idiots
Some wise
Some fools
Some hopeful
Some pretenders
Some confident, right or wrong
Some in fear and trembling
Those who worship with their lips
Those who worship with their hearts

Those who will be shocked by these words;

On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

And the others
Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

But we have been called to a higher standard. If the church acts like the world then it failed. I apologize for any unnecessary offense on my part but I didn't create the division environment here. My only fault is coming here and being part of it. This division is why I cant love anyone here. If i ignore the sin i join it. It bothers my conscious to be around people who don't obey the scripture which said to have no divisions. But I tried because im lonely. Every day I would sit around and sigh. I thought maybe I could find a couple like minded friends who I could fellowship with but I only stumbled here

Sadly, it failed.

Don't hold them to higher standard nor have high expectation of Christians. You'll just be disappointed.

Christians are only nice to people who have money or "potential", idolizes their family, and good social skills. They are not nice to people whom we should pay more attention to according to the Lord.

But there are exceptions of course. Christians who are poor tend to be nicer, less snubby.

Please accept my apologies for being weak. We all have problems in this life. But i dont understand how all you folks say I need a teacher when your teachers dont even agree with each other. We are in the last days and the Bible didn't paint a pretty picture of the church in the last days. Anyway im still leaving so goodbye
I agree with pretty much everything you've written here.
Don't be discouraged.
You won't change many minds here.
As keith greene said, "They are asleep in the light."
You are in good hands.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

You seem unready to listen for whatever reason - better to come back when your ears are more open.
To listen to what? The lie that you must be in a group to be blessed by God?
This is a group. This is a meeting. This is an online, somewhat 'Christian forum.'

It is not an either or - it is a both and.

We have Him as our teacher and He leads us to learn from others who have walked with Him.

Best to address the reason why you resist this.

Ask Him about it - maybe you were wounded by a false teacher?
