CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You may not need 'teachers' if you are a believer. You have the Spirit of God to teach you.
That, being a given, I am self taught in several endeavors.
Let's take guitar.
I'm pretty good, been playing for decades, should be.
I have found however when I get together with accomplished musicians we can have different interpretations of a song. When I hear theirs I at times, hear something that sounds really cool. I learn something.
I've also found that when I played with others on a frequent schedule, I improved quicker as I got more practice and feedback
I've found that feeding or bouncing off of others to be enjoyable and easier to hear at times where the song wants to go.
Other times playing alone seemed to benefit more.
The gospel is about relationships.
How we relate to each other has to do with how we relate to God.
I find some humans tedious. I find some teachers dull.
We are told, *study to show yourself approved." So I agree with your statement.
Fellowship enriches our experiences.

That is in the context of having His Spirit in your life or not.
Having His Spirit and not depending on His examination and conviction and not ours is folly.

Im leaving this place. Atheists have more rights here than I do. Im not playing this ban game. That sort of thing helped destroy my mental health. I dont need Christian fellowship apparently.

Thank you. I will stay focused on the Lord but I dont belong here. This place is dysfunctional. I would never attend a church that was like this. Im just going to have to stay away from Christians. This place hurts me. I cant afford anymore of that.

I shouldn't have come here. I was lonely but I cant fellowship without speaking up about problems I see in the church. But you gotta walk on eggshells around here. Offend the wrong person and you get kicked out like garbage. These are the last days and Paul said people would no longer endure sound doctrine but would flock to teachers instead. I'll never fit in here or any place. I just hope my mental illness doesn't get worse. I fear it could. But my heart hurts being here. Its just not edifying. Ive never seen a place like this where atheists could get you kicked out. Its astonishing. Anyway. Good bye

I'd suggest that you take into consideration it's quite possible that your mental illness distorts your interpretation of the Bible. And your view of the church. And how you view others in general.
Also take into consideration that there are others here who have mental illness and or neurological problems, because forums attract such people because they're not good at real life interaction.

That is word play... I am not interested in dialogue with folks that aren't serious. I have explained the contextual difference and you are ignoring it.
There is a lot at stake - plenty of folks have offered you a hand and you are not showing interest.
You seem unready to listen for whatever reason - better to come back when your ears are more open.
The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Every so often a Christian-in-name type person comes on here posting their grievance topics in forums, such as this one, that they want to argue with us over, while also claiming health issues for sympathy. Their topics tend to be somewhat centered around their personal issues and hatred involving the body of Christ, and "why do they do this, and why do they not do that," and "i don't like this and I don't like that," and they are never satisfied with any answer anyone gives them in those topics.
Sound familiar?
It should, you just did the same thing that they did before on here.
Coming on here arguing with us doesn't help you find Jesus.

The commandments are simple to understand, so a five year old can understand them. The problem with the commandments is that they are impossible to obey, and nobody has ever been able to keep them except for Christ Himself.
In any case, we don't need to obey them to be saved. The Lord Jesus, kept them on my behalf and He imputed His righteousness onto me. So I was saved, because the Lord Jesus obeyed the commandments for me.

The Bible is mentioned elsewhere. The Greek word used is "biblaridion" which is translated in English as "little book" and the Bible is indeed a "little book" compared to the ancient scrolls.
Revelation 10:9
And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

Please accept my apologies for being weak. We all have problems in this life. But i dont understand how all you folks say I need a teacher when your teachers dont even agree with each other. We are in the last days and the Bible didn't paint a pretty picture of the church in the last days. Anyway im still leaving so goodbye
