• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sometimes I think people believe you are a sinner or you're strange if you have mental illness. But i hope in Jesus just like everyone else. People think a sound mind means you won't have mental illness but to me a sound mind is sound judgment. It doesn't mean you cant have mental illness. Does it? I understand God's commandments well enough to obey him. Thats sound judgment. I believe suffering caused this illness. Too much guilt and shame. Too many drugs maybe. Whatever the reason I need Jesus too.

Im leaving this place. Atheists have more rights here than I do. Im not playing this ban game. That sort of thing helped destroy my mental health. I dont need Christian fellowship apparently.

Tell Jeshu that im sorry. We had a falling out one time. I feel so bad about it. I had mental illness too but I didn't understand what psychosis could do to a person until I got it myself. I hope he's doing OK. I understand the great burden he must be facing. Please forgive me.

I may be sick and weak but that's ok. God chooses the weak things. I just need to persevere until God takes me home. I cant say for sure if this scripture applies to my weakness but it gives me hope. Im just so tired. Maybe when spring comes I can focus on my hobby to take my weary mind off of this mental disorder. I sure cant go to church so that's out of the question.

1 Corinthians 1:26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

that scripture helps me hope too.but if things hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have waiting those riches in glory Paul talks about elsewhere.

Are you on any prescribed medications, weary2025? I am saying this because years ago I had problems with my mental health as well but the correct medication cured it. Today I am a normal person. Do you need to go and see a doctor? Or have you done that already?
