CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who is triggered?
When one opens a thread about a specific Politician and a specific instance or what the politician says - and another poster bring up a totally unrelated politician and subject - that is called of topic - not triggered.

You gave the link. You wanted us to discuss it. It talks about Argentina's rampant inflation and compares it to the US. Are we not to discuss that? It tells us how Milei got it somewhat under control. Is that part of your link off topic? It mentions Trump twice and Biden (and throws in Eisenhour for good luck) as regards to their attempts to reduce inflation. Are we not to discuss that either?
Maybe you should cut and paste the whole text of the link and redact the parts which are not to be discussed. But then again you are required to give the link so that we have context. So that context can be discussed.
