CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You're using the wrong tense. According to most sources, there are only 5 communist countries left. China, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam and Cuba. I've travelled through 4 of those and capitalism is rampant in each. You are tilting at windmills. You'd do better to worry about what's happening within your own borders rather than rage against something that barely exists in far away places.

No. It proves that if left unchecked, communism is a cancer. The only counter to the destruction is capitalism. Therefore, the only reason why communist countries still exist as long as they have, it is because capitalism has been keeping them on life support. Fun fact: More people have died under Joseph Stalin under communism than Adolf Hitler and his campaign to build the Third Reich.

Apparently my statement completely flew over your head. So let me break it down for you. I am not painting the Nazi Party in a better light, but showing the reality that communism, if left unchecked, ultimately is worse than the Nazi Party. Do you get it now, or do I need to break it down further? Otherwise, I will just assume you are goading some response from me.

I don't think the problem is with the principle of communism itself, but that a communist society has no central leadership. Under the communist ideal, ownership of the means of production is held collectively. What seems to inevitably happen is that the absence of a central leadership leaves the door open for an authoritarian leader, who then takes control of the means of production, meant to be held collectively, and centralizes power for himself.
So the problem isn't specifically communism itself, but that it seems to inevitably lead to authoritarianism, making the actual problem authoritarianism.
Unfortunately, as we're seeing, it isn't only communism that can lead to authoritarianism. The real test seems to be if the system in place can halt that rise, and effect a return to the status quo.

Do you mean to compare communism if left unchecked with nazism if left unchecked? Because I don't think we have either of those data points. Where did we see any of them left unchecked? To be clear I think them both disastrously bad.

They went through 4 constitutions as they didn't practice what they preached in reality. Have you heard of doublespeak? Ever read 1984? Women may have had equal rights with man but neither had rights of a member of the party. Good party members were promoted to positions they were not fit for. Most had very little and had to wait in long lines for bread. They had their secret police, IF you have HBO, watch Chernobyl. They are CAPITALISTS. They believe in private ownership.
