  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

According to the Network Contagion Research Institute’s new report, "Democratic Socialists of America: Policy, Advocacy and Narrative Convergence with Hostile Foreign States," the organization has been engaging in a dynamic called "narrative convergence," advancing narratives that stoke domestic unrest and delegitimize state institutions while advancing talking points aligned with "hostile foreign governments."

Wake up America or we will lose our country.

A tiny, left-leaning group is going to take down America?
When does the mantle of victimhood become a burden?

The threat must be as permanent as it is easy to fix. Just continue voting republican and the mean left will not destroy your country.

I know you'll find this so very hard to believe...but that's exactly their view as well.

Personally, I don't think there's a danger that the US will be lost. Because that's already happened. The question is now: How do you find your way back. That's the tricky bit.

Well if it’s “existential” on on side it’s obviously existential on the other! (Or such is the political “wisdom” these daze!)

While I contend that many people in my (Boomer) generation have been adversely affected by by inhaling the tetraethyl lead fumes from those massive behemoths of the 1950s, this shouldn’t be taken as any sort of “argument” per se.

After watching our parents and grandparents fight two world wars in a span of 30 years; came back in the mid 1940s and built the largest industrial complex ever, supplying the world with “goods”; while they built the National Highway system because we could “afford” it since the top marginal tax-rate was 91%; and right before they retired (and we put them into “homes“ to die in, (YMMV)), they took the computing power of a watch to the moon and back.

My generation, the “Baby-Boomers”?
We continually “cut taxes”, long after we understood that we were going to willingly saddle the next few generations with this debt to “pay” for these tax-cuts, they’re our progeny, after all, they’ll probably make good on it.
(Or not, Boomers always had an extra hard time developing “empathy”, (in the ‘umble poster’s experience); we’ll be okay, though, we just seem “crazier” than the previous or subsequent generations. It’s our first time “getting old”, it does things to ya kids, it really does. We’ll be off the stage soon, things will “settle down”.)

Had a drink this afternoon with my son and his daughter. I did think at some time (and it was alluded to in a discussion as to how much time my wife and I had left to see the places we wanted to - that bloody clock keeps ticking!) that the world my grandaughter will grow up in will not be the world that I hoped for her. And I remember looking at her and feeling...worried.

I've led a lucky life. Too young for some wars, too old for others. Always been working and earning good money. My wife and I want for nothing. And I'm hesitant to use the word frightened when I think of where the world will take that young girl. But I'm becoming concerned. And I'm passed the point when I can really do anything about it.

I’m in a similar situation. My son is 10 and I worry about the world he’ll enter when he becomes an adult. I grew up in the 80s in the UK here war and civil strife was always something that happened in other countries.

The West, minus America, is lost. It lives in some kind of "equality" delusion.
Funny how different people see different things when looking at the same thing. Many people think equality is a good thing.

By the time I would have willingly served, I had aged-out of being eligible. My birth year was a year older than the birth year following (naturally enough), which had to report to selective service, so I never was “in-the-system”, still I had the occasional call from the Marines until I was 25, even though i had assured them that I and the marines should not be in the same place at the same time. (My “war” would have been when Reagan invaded Grenada.)

I will be eligible for being called from the reserves until I turn 65. Used to be 60, but it was raised starting this year as the general health is better so people tend to be able to do the things needed for service for longer.

It’s a “good choice” for a lot of people, but me and the military would have “had issues”.
I “did my part” by keeping smart mouth from ruining an otherwise “good platoon”.

Thus, I am a patriot for not serving!

Well we've got mandatory military service. Though you can always go through it as not armed service if your religion or morals are against using weapons/violence or in the form of civil service, which is a bit longer in duration than military service. Currently a staff sergeant, let's see if I'll get enough training days still for another promotion since the equipment I've been trained for is getting phased out, might decide not to retrain me for anything new and just fill the spots with younger guys.

The West, minus America, is lost. It lives in some kind of "equality" delusion. America is not lost, but rather sits at a tipping point. It will probably go over the edge in the next decade. A small, but committed group of people can definitely tip the balance and take over.

FULL INTERVIEW with [Ex-KGB Agent] Yuri Bezmenov: The Four Stages of Ideological Subversion (1984) - YouTube

Once you go "equal", you can never come back.
The Soviet Union had a Constitution guaranteeing more rights than our Constitution, but they took God out of the equation. It's an attack on the Judeo/Christian culture that built America. An attack on the family, on virtue, hidden under the guise of "equity" and "tolerance." Yet they are the intolerant ones, not allowing alternative voices on college campuses because they say they are right. When did "right" mean bigotry and antisemitism? You could see the anger in Minneapolis and the lack of respect for the laws, laws that were passed through the democratic process. It was their disobeying and twisting of the law that created the disaster of human trafficking in such massive numbers. How little we hear from them about the victims.
