  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

@Harley. @Questioning Brother
I was asking Google about how God uses "chance" and "opportunity" and was told to look this word up for the answer to both and thought it coincided about both of your concerns on both threads and thought it would be useful here...

I hope this answers both of your questions about God's presence and sovereignty...

Even though God may be "omnipresent"; he can, will, and usually does signify his presence if you be patient and ask for it.

And about divine providence, it can not be very farther enough in distance to the statement above. Just ask and let God make a way when there may be no way. Trust me, I've seen this before and it will happen again, and again.

Matt 7:7 Ask Him and you will receive...

? I am not sure you understood my questions. His presence without his intervention means nothing to me. He's here. I feel it. It just is meaningless to me without his improving the situation. I have also asked what you are saying. I have seen it NOT happen time and time again.

I was responding in that segment to the truck thread; I do believe that God has not and will not fail me when I'm in need of him. Just because he's "omnipresence" doesn't mean, he can't or won't. Sometimes all we can do is pray it gets better, at the same time we realize this world is a failing project, and that God is in control, yes, but if God solved every problem positively and every time, you may not see that there is a job in need of God's attention. Keep praying. At 41 I think I've seen many of them answered in His timing...
