You reject Newton because he wasn’t the Christian you think he should have been. Do you realize that the first functioning wheels for carts were invented by pagans? That is funny, but the point is that you can’t reject scientific discovery or invention because you don’t like their religion or philosophy, while simultaneously rejecting the same from those who believe as you do. The reality of the physical world is neutral to belief. The Aztecs were horrible, they practiced human sacrifice, but they knew how to process corn (maze) to obtain maximum nutrition. One has to look at the evidence, study it, replicate it, and see what is true in this physical world. We are humans, and our understanding of the physical world is full of flaws; however, if the information can be proven correct, we use it. We didn’t reject aspirin, because it came from pagans processing willow bark, but we checked it and saw that they were right about its properties. It is the same with Newton, Copernicus, Islamic mathematicians, NASA, or the Communists.
