  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Blue laws forbidding stores to be open on Sunday were state by state decisions. I would think it is always that way. I think too it would shave some points off the economy. I do not see it passing as a national law. Tonga is the only nation with such a Sunday law now.

Which countries do you think will enforce Sunday worship?
In the UK it is estimated within forty years it will become a muslim country, France, in less than that. In truth, the governments of these countries bend over backwards now to accomodate muslims, they are afraid not to. The idea muslims will be forced to follow a set Sunday sabbath is absurd. There's is the fastest growing religion in the world, and the fastest growing religion in many countries that have always been considered christian
Will the US enforce it? The Jewish lobby in the US is a powerful lobby, the parties want onside in their elections.
And in Europe, christian ideals are on the wane, Christianity is not the force it once was. They have passed laws in my country to allow the big supermarkets to open on Sundays for example.
Jesus said a time would come when people would kill believers, thinking they were doing God a service in the process. Who is doing that?

That is nothing new before the 1970s the US was already under a blue law. I remember when stores were closed and most businesses were closed on Sundays with the exception of grocers and you could only buy food.

And it is possible they could bring it back.

I grew up with blue laws in Ohio. Stores were closed on Sunday in the 70's. Then they were allowed to open but not until after 1pm in the late 80's and early 90's. Now it is only alcohol that is restricted on Sunday. Most stores open 8-9am.

If Heritage Foundation has their way there will be a uniform day of rest. A good portion of Project 2025 has already been accomplished.

Given that we have the best government money can buy and since our leaders have already been bought by corporate interests, I believe capitalism will prevail to prevent blue laws. If there is anything we care about more than God, guns and Apple pie it's making money. Corporate greed is king.

Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, austria, Norway, Poland, the Netherlands, Tonga, Cook Islands, Rome, are some of the countries that recognize and followed the Blue Laws and observation of Sunday, including the US. Russia in the early 20th century established laws banning public alcohol consumption on Sundays.

Ancient Rome established the first version of the blue law.

So considering the countries that has recognized blue laws in the past, the only countries that would reject blue laws are those who are not Christian nations, perhaps like China Indonesia India at this point in time.

But if a one world government is established, the possibility of a worldwide blue law could become reality. The question would be what god would they be serving?

A one world religion is more likely to be Islam.

True, the bible tells us the armies of the world will gather to attack Jerusalem. Who is Israels sworn enemy, who seeks its Annihilation? So, governments will be controlled by those who wish to destroy Israel

Sorry I did not wait for the second video to start, I'm not good with video.
Do you think a national Sunday law is coming?
Being able to "Buy or sell"

Sundays are often seen as sacred family time – a chance
to reconnect without the noise of consumer life.

Several labor unions are closed on Sundays as part of their practices.
Notable unions include: Carpenters, Cement Masons, Iron Workers,
Laborers, Operating Engineers, and Construction Teamsters.

Sunday rest is being pushed by Labor union laws, like here

Billed as quiet rest time with family members, not always religious.

Some countries like Germany have no lawn mower/leaf blowers or anything
loud at home etc., even no heavy truck use on the highways on Sunday.

More countries are putting Sunday into their laws like Croatia and others

Then you have the European Sunday Alliance

The European Sunday Alliance (ESA) advocates for a work free Sunday across Europe,
emphasizing the importance of synchronized rest for mental health and social cohesion.

Overview of the European Sunday Alliance

The European Sunday Alliance is a coalition of over 100 national Sunday alliances, trade unions, employers' organizations, civil society groups, and religious communities across the European Union. Its primary mission is to promote the value of a common day of rest, traditionally observed on Sunday, to enhance work-life balance and social cohesion among citizens

The Development of a Massive Anti-American Trade Bloc.

a “mart of nations” - “for the time to come”
“merchants” that “pass over the sea”

Isaiah 30:8 - says Isaiah wrote his book “for the time to come.”
These are prophecies primarily for “the latter day” .

Isaiah 23 discusses three ancient powers:
Tyre, Tarshish and Chittim (verse 1).

Tyre was the great trading center of the Middle East. Here the Bible
refers to Tyre (and its allies Zidon, etc.) as the commercial center of
a European end time power. Germany is lead nation in Europe today.

"Tarshish" - is Japan in Bible prophecy. The ships
of Tarshish come from “the isle,” [the islands of Japan],
[ships]referring to the supertanker fleet of Japan.

The third power [Chittim], this biblical name refers to both
the island of Cyprus and to the nation of China today.

Isaiah 23:3 talks about these powers forming a “mart of nations.”
“merchants” that “pass over the sea” (verse 2). “great waters,” or
oceans (verse 3), as well as merchants and “traffickers” that are so
rich that they are like “princes” and “the honourable of the earth.”

11And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her;
for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

Japan and China share a robust trade relationship, with Japan being a significant exporter
