  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trans state rep Leigh Finke calls for agitators to keep storming churches until ICE is out of Minnesota

Please don't follow Finke's advice, this is yet another political leader trying to get his base angry and fired up. Storming a church as was done in St. Paul may see you arrested on federal charges. Call for discussion and debate instead.

If the DOJ started prosecuting all these insurrectionists, I wonder if there would be anyone left in the Minnesota government. At this rate, we will be looking at a civil war if these people are not held accountable.

Lets see...protestors storming the Capitol...while in session..... to disrupt the election results ..... is okay? They were all pardoned.
"Do what I say, not as I do", comes to mind.

Let us reason. Please.

A deflection, off topic. Religious freedom is key to our country's survival.

They served time before they were pardoned and I don't think anyone is arguing that what they did was okay

If religious freedom is the case being proclaimed then let it not involve the Body of Christ. His Kingdom is not a religion and not of this world.

A full unconditional pardon from tbe President, even if they served their full sentence, allows criminals to carry arms. And it does not stop there.

Desperate for a way to justify the insanity in Minnesota? I guess you haven’t seen the video of capital police holding the door and inviting them in. Not exactly “storming “!

Christianity is a religion. Religion is simply a relationship with God. (How I define it)

If Christianity is defined as a religion, then this is why there are 45,000 + denominations. Remember, One God, One Spirit and one Gospel = One denomination. The Kingdom of God. Not a religion but the promised union with our Creator here on earth.

What denomination is that?

Ooooh that’s a fun discussion not meant for this thread ;)

Most Christians, regardless of denominations, still see each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

In some churches, federal charges would be the least of their worries. Some of "the sisters" swing a mean purse. I'm serious here.

Because some wanted a red carpet and some wanted a green carpet and some thought wood flooring would be nice. Then some wanted a water cooler in that spot and some wanted it in another spot, and... well.. so it goes.
