No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. Trump wants nations to pay $1 billion to stay on his peace board

According to a draft charter for the proposed group seen by Bloomberg, President Donald Trump would serve as its inaugural chairman and would decide on who is invited to be members. Decisions would be taken by a majority, with each member state present getting one vote, but all would be subject to the chairman’s approval.

“Each Member State shall serve a term of no more than three years from this Charter’s entry into force, subject to renewal by the Chairman. The three-year membership term shall not apply to Member States that contribute more than USD $1,000,000,000 in cash funds to the Board of Peace within the first year of the Charter’s entry into force,” the draft says.

The board is described in the charter as “an international organization that seeks to promote stability, restore dependable and lawful governance, and secure enduring peace in areas affected or threatened by conflict.” It would become official once three member states agree to the charter.

Trump would also be responsible for approving the group’s official seal, the document says.

White House officials didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.

Trump has invited a number of world leaders, including Argentina’s Javier Milei and Canada’s Mark Carney, to be part of a Board of Peace for Gaza, which would be formed under the broader umbrella of his new Board of Peace.

That plan attracted swift criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said the details hadn’t been coordinated with his country.

This is what happens when an ego is in the upper 1% and intelligence is on the left side of the curve.

Trump is starting his BRICS, and the critics are right. But I don't respect the UN either.

"Critics are worried that Trump is trying to build an alternative, or rival, to the United Nations, which he has long criticized."

I cant imagine anyone joining. This is the problem with the groupthink mentality of the loyalists that work for Trump. Becuase the minute they disagree, they are tossed. I think it is getting worse too. I have doubts Trump can finish his term.

Trump wants
I checked your thread history and you have literally been complaining about Trump, non-stop, for 10 years. Think about how deranged that is. Think about what your life has become. Think about what you will see as you lay on your death bed and look back on the way you spent your time. Memento mori.

According to its charter and supporting documents, the Board of Peace is intended to:

  • Oversee reconstruction of Gaza after years of war
  • Support governance capacity-building and economic recovery
  • Mobilize large-scale international investment and funding
  • Coordinate regional relations and stability efforts
  • Work in tandem with the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (a Palestinian technocratic committee handling day-to-day governance) and an International Stabilization Force tasked with security.

It's kind of interesting that Israel isn't involved or invited. I question why Tony Blaire part of it, and I know he didn't fork out a billion.

I think Trump's behavior is now disturbing even to Stephen Miller. They are likely finding ways to isolate the world from some of his crazier ideas.

IGood you provide deeperinsight into this. I would be fine if just handling gaza. But it just more world governance directing others instead of letting the markets do it. Seems it could be fodder to the anti-christ system. What happens when the democrats take lower? To me resis world governance and instead this creates more of it.

This is key. Wannabee dictators never consider that they might be building weapons for their enemies. Do you trust democrats with the sort of authoritarian powers Trump is trying to obtain? I don't trust anybody with that kind of political power.

They're "gentrifying" the whole region that can make the cost of living too high for most Gazans.

It's only good for the wealthy. Bad for the poor.

The irony is, until recent years, ordinary Palestinians were among the most prosperous and well-educated among Arab populations. Most certainly they were, before the founding of Israel.

When I worked in Saudi Arabia (not Palestine), I found the Arabs highly valued Western education among English-Speaking nations like USA and UK and aspire to study abroad in USA, UK, or even Australia if they can afford it.

Many even take post-graduate courses abroad even if already financially stable. Many have masterals and even PhD's. They just love to study and their gov't are highly supportive of such activities like allowing paid leave from their work when taking short courses!

Take a long, hard look at Canada, Mexico, Denmark/Greenland, members of NATO ..... why would any country that has maintained close political, economic and/or military relations with America in the past, place their trust in

"A PATHOLOGICAL LAIR IMPERSONATING A PRESIDENT?"

Palestinians were among the most prosperous and well-educated among Arab populations. Most certainly they were, before the founding of Israel.
So they still would be if they didn't allow terrorists to run their country and bomb Israel throughout history. From what I've learned these last couple of years is that liberals and terrorists don't like Israel.
Bad for the poor.
What's bad for the poor is Hamas sending rockets into Israel, and Israel retaliating.

Obviously.

But the system being instated in Gaza also oppressed people of less means in USA.

It's nothing else but greed.

What would be a better way to help Gaza?
Redevelop the land to reduce cost of living. Many Gazans lost their livelihood.

Let universities or even NASA or JPL tackle the problem, not with commercial developers who only care about profits as Trump is originally planning. It won't be as abominable as Dubai but it will be something they can live on....Affordably.
