  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Busy, busy. Even in the cold.

We’ve had some rain, through Christmas. I reloaded and trimmed my brass. I seldom buy ammo. The cheap stuff is too weak.so I reload. Hotter loads, better for my gun, less expensive and with multiple uses of the brass. But I do shoot more. That’s far out he has a basement to work in as so many in the midsections of our countries. But I don’t know why, space I guess.

we have a large lot. Not far from a quarter acre, with a small house, huge back yard, lots of trees inthe front and sides, carved out of the chaparral. We don’t use the yard much, except to have to clear the grass every year.

my hobby is part of my life and love, but I don’t talk about it much. Nobody cares about guns except me and my friend. I should get a ccw to have for my church. The people who protected us went off galavanting in Nashville like true Californians. They were pro shooters On teams and with the police department. I’d like to see them again. Not enough jobs here I guess. I was fond of them. She was a real sweetheart. And he a nice guy.

it will be warm enough cuddled up to my pot on a ‘cold’ day in January. When I go out to work next. I think my 405 grain may still not be working with smokeless in this rifle. That’s next. Now to go on calculator to find my load.

I like loading BP ammo, but so time consuming. It took over 4 hours to load 30 rnd. I have a slimmed down process but even with that it took that much to charge, compress, seat, crimp. I know im slow. I had the brass already prepared! But it done write with a lot of consistency. So I can look forward to good results.

tomorrow a new caliber. It was 68 degrees today, getting a bit scary. Nice day. This is the new normal. But rain, Lord. My main concern is it’s so different. Winter is supposed to be cold and rainy. Some disaster could come from this imbalance. The trees dies or fire this spring. Lord, not that please.

it’s hard to be in tune with the Lords last days. I know this is what we can expect, but I’m still praying about everything good when he is trying to do something else. I still just don’t want to sufffer and im thinking I suffer enough. So how is God going to bring anything about when so many can’t let go of anything? Next generation maybe.? Scary thought.

shooting days are coming up and then maybe casting days. I can overcome my winter sluggishness when I want to when it warms up. Just like spring when I feel like doing something again after a time of warmth. We had a whole week of 60s F. And it was nice.

but don’t some people die in winter because of sitting a lot. A little activity is good this winter.

Today I put together some more rnd. Brass done primers in. I only had to charge and seat. It took me seven minutes per rnd. It’s really feasible but so slow in the long run. One hour for cleaning the powder dispenser, three times. Mostly I just watched it work. I set up dies, had no problems.

it used to take me 8 hrs to load 100 rnd pistol. Now too long for 30 rnd rifle.
