  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What was the most miraculous thing Jesus has done in your life?

My first memory as a child was actually a dream. In that dream it was a beautiful day with a brilliant sky. On a hill was a cross with a purple sash wrapped around it. A dove came out of the sky and touched the top of the cross and flew up into heaven. Then I woke up.

I consider this miraculous because it was like Jesus was telling me He would be with me all of my days.

Another time was when I was around 16 years old and I stayed the night at my grandma's house. I slept on the couch but I stirred awake and looked toward the rocking chair and Jesus was sitting there staring silently at me and I felt peace. It was a couple of minutes and then He was gone.

These I always come back to whenever I feel I've done so much wrong or felt I strayed too far away from Him. These come back to my remembrance and provide comfort. Just felt the need to share.

I was struggling in my faith and my life in general back back in my early 20s, I was kind of a deist at that point. I had reached a boiling point in my life and was about to do something very stupid and crazy, that would pretty much be the end of me, and nobody but me knew about it. As I was walking to my destination I passed a street I had been at 1000s of times before. All of a sudden a middle aged guy comes up to me starts talking about God and Jesus, basically preaching the gospel(from what he believed, I think he was protestant). I was a bit startled and a kinda dismissive of him, told him that I do believe in God but didn't have time to chat and went on.

Didn't think that much of it at the time in that moment. But later reminded myself that I've been on that street so many times, going to school, back home from school, every winter I would be working there for a company selling things and making money spending weeks at that spot, and nobody ever came up to me talking about religion or God or anything of that sort, but only on THAT particular day when my life was in a complete and utter mess. Later when I put all the pieces together and what it all meant, I got very emotional and realized that God was looking out for me for whatever reason. It is statistically impossible that the interaction was completely random, connected to what I was about to do. It was absolutely divine intervention. I am late 30s today and nothing since then has happened that comes close to this. Except maybe a sign after my grandmother died a couple of years ago.

Got me rid of depression, alcoholism, cigarettes and benzos. Also one time I believe He sent a bum on my way, who had the exact words I needed to hear, in the exact way I needed to hear them, in a time when I struggled with a thing. Everything good is from Him.
