I mean, regardless if it was true or not. Which in this case it wasn't.
For years my Grandmother had been bragging to people telling them we were related to royalty, to Queen Mary of Scots no less. Well, we got so sick and tired of hearing it that we finally had a DNA test done to see if it was true. Turns out it was not true! HA! We are not royalty after all! I think this evidence embarrassed her really bad that she had been proven wrong and she hasn't talked about it since.
The test told us we were 99% English and only 1% Scottish. Any link to Scottish royalty is far too weak to count.
I just don't understand why people make outlandish claims without any evidence backing up such claims. And besides, even if someone is of royal blood, why does that make them special?
