• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's the harm? What drag queens are teaching is that how we dress is only cultural convention and it's OK to have fun with it sometimes. No harm in that at all.
Why not do drag queen story hour in nursing homes then? No harm in that! I'm sure the old people would get a kick out of it! OK to have fun with it.... like you said! Right?

To" sin no more" happens over time through sanctification, the process of being set apart and made holy. This is a continual work through His Holy Spirit in a believer's life. This leads us to progressive spiritual maturity and Christ-likeness.Whether or not a person is tempted to return to their lifestyle, they always have the option to repent from that lifestyle until its draw has been eliminated all together.
Thanks for sharing!
I agree with your point. Christians do not become mature overnight; growth is a gradual process that takes time.

Some Christians in America and elsewhere preach to other Christians that we should show love and compassion toward the LGBTQ community without judgment. They are correct; as Christians, we should extend love to everyone, regardless of their background or sin. There is no sin that cannot be redeemed by Christ’s sacrifice, and anyone seeking Him will find Him. Our duty is to show love to all.

However, these Christians also advocate for the acceptance of homosexual, emphasizing that they should be respected as they are, given that this is inherent to their nature.

That is absolute false doctrine. God don’t make someone gay, it is a sin that one must turn from.

I must admit that some Christians, driven by excessive zeal, condemn the LGBTQ community and overlook the fact that Jesus Christ came to save everyone. We sometimes forget that our first responsibility is to show love and leave judgment to God alone. Sometimes, non-believers show more compassion to sinners than Christians do. While Christians aim to hate the sin but love the sinner, we often end up judging and condemning them instead.

As I said, keep it away from kids.

They frequently do. The old people apparently find it very entertaining.

So you let retail marketing decide what it is a sin for you to wear?
Sin? No I merely responded to your query as to how do you know to distinguish each one. Also if you noticed I used a winking emoji. I thought you would get the joke but I guess not.

Because you don't want them taught that? OK. But do you have to take them out of school to avoid it? Why not just teach them that while other people can have fun with clothing and costumes, it's not OK for Christians.

No, I laught at the joke. I thought it was quite clever, but it doesn't really answer the question. If you want to forbid cross-dressing for religious reasons it seems like you ought to have a religious standard for what that amounts to.

Why do I have to teach the kids anything? The drag queens are the ones advocating that it is normal. The kids should not be involved in the debate of what one group advocates. Schools are a place of learning not a place to elevate the political potato of less than three percent of the population.

It is normal. It has been a normal part of public entertainment for millenia.

No drag queen should be around children or in a school. Drag queens belong in gay bars.

TBH, I’m not advocating for religious reasons although they do play a role for me. I’m more concerned with the psychological damage to children that are having to wrestle, not just with their own role confusion issues, but also forced, peer pressured, gender identity issues. Three percent of the population should not dominate the conversation.

It’s not normal. And school is for learning academics. Not private life stuff.

Not that I saw. Adults that want to go to such a spectacle are welcomed to.

Something being mocked because of how strange the idea of it is does not equate to it being "normal".
