  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

China Just Dropped Self-Evolving AI Robots With Real Human Physical Intuition

China just dropped WoW — the world’s first self-evolving world model that teaches robots to think, move, and act with human-like intuition. The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center built it with Peking University and HKUST, giving machines the ability to “imagine,” “verify,” and “self-correct.”

Meanwhile, startup Noetix Robotics launched Bumi — a $1,370 humanoid for homes and classrooms that walks, talks, and dances. And Unitree’s G1 just pulled a 3,100-pound car while balancing on its own two feet. From cheap humanoids to self-learning AI minds, China’s robotics scene just hit a new level.

Your TV is spying on you - Find out how, and turn it off!

Ever wonder why your massive TV costs less than your cell phone?

The price of a TV is subsidized by them being ad platforms, data collectors, and sensor-laden devices. Oh, and they're TVs, too. In this episode, you'll find out how Samsung, LG, Roku, Hisense, Vizio, Sony, Panasonic, Phillips, Sharp, TCL, and Toshiba and others quietly turn your “home theater” into a surveillance economy terminal.

You’ll see:

How Smart TVs actually track you — through ACR, voice assistants, and targeted ads
Why your TV is cheaper than ever (hint: you’re the product)
The FTC fines, lawsuits, and scandals manufacturers hope you forgot
How to disable spying features and reclaim your privacy
Because the only thing “smart” about these TVs… is how they monetize you.

Internment Camps for Homeless People — Disguised as ‘Help’

Politicians are calling it “help.”

In reality, it looks a lot more like forced labor and internment camps for homeless people. In this episode, I sit down with Eric Tars from the National Homelessness Law Center to unpack how billionaire-backed lobbyists and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are driving policies that punish poverty instead of solving it. From federal funding threats to communities being pressured to criminalize homelessness, Eric explains how America’s response to homelessness is turning into a human rights crisis — and what it will take to stop it.

I also recently saw this video.

Unfortunately, there's widespread misinformation and harmful tropes about homelessness in American culture. Certain religious narratives that demonize poverty also contribute to the impression that people that are homeless are lazy or undeserving, which has given rise to tropes about the homeless being mentally ill or drug addicted, which isn't the main factor in the widespread prevalence of homelessness today. High housing costs are the single biggest factor. People are homeless because the market for affordable housing collapsed after 2008, and there are no government incentives to actually created affordable housing- all the incentives are to the contrary, to make housing an exclusive and appreciable asset, not a basic human right.

The policy to detain and imprison homeless people is a violation of fundamental human rights, since all humans must sleep to live, and homeless people often cannot choose where they sleep in any practicable way. Justice Sotomayor was correct to point this out as the dissenting opinion in the recent case of Grant Pass vs Johnson, one of the few voices of rationality on a court that's otherwise turned towards hollow ideology and sophistry.

Maligning the poor is wicked and doesn’t align with Christ’s teachings. The first people I ministered to were the homeless. Seeing someone sleeping on the street was jarring and wasn’t common in my youth. The Lord didn’t tell us to debate the way or determine their deservedness either. He told us to give and by doing so we’re serving Him.

High housing costs are the single biggest factor. People are homeless because the market for affordable housing collapsed after 2008, and there are no government incentives to actually created affordable housing- all the incentives are to the contrary, to make housing an exclusive and appreciable asset, not a basic human right.

There’s a video on the thread about private equity’s role in the problem.

Although it isn’t stated in the piece hedge funds do the same. Instead of creating affordable housing they’re building communities with properties for rent which provides a steady income stream. There’s comparable policies underway that exacerbate the problem.

Impose time limits for residents in tenant-based and project-based assistance programs.

This is part of the Project 2025 Mandate and in process. ProPublica covered it. In respect to the working poor and middle class, a related proposal hasn’t begun.

Limit FHA mortgages to first-time buyers and increase the FHA mortgage insurance premium for all products above 20-year terms.

There’s another directed to seniors that wasn’t included but they’re working from the proposals nonetheless. Here’s what they’ve suggested: Eliminate the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage Program.

A homeowner can arrange with a lender to receive a set amount of monthly revenue during an extended period through a reverse mortgage based on the equity in the borrower’s house. Each month, the cash flow from the lender to the homeowner, along with the interest payable, is simply added to the mortgage owed on the home. Many retirees use this method to supplement other retirement income. This allows even retirees with minimal liquid assets to live comfortably without being forced to downsize.

An even better option is to discontinue the HECM program altogether, providing neither reverse mortgage loans nor guarantees. The private sector is well equipped to service the reverse-mortgage market in a way that would enable retirees to remain in their homes while drawing down equity.

Many of the lending programs the government offers at favorable terms for consumers are being eliminated or no longer subsidized and the interest rates will reflect the market. Which leads to more expenses, defaults and fewer recipients.

It Begins: An AI Literally Attempted Murder To Avoid Shutdown

Detailed sources: Google Doc
Original paper this video is based on: Agentic Misalignment: How LLMs could be insider threats

By now, you've probably seen the headlines. An AI model blackmailed an employee just to avoid being shut down. Importantly, the researchers didn't even hint at it. But as disturbing as that is, what happened next was far worse. An AI model literally tried to murder a company employee to avoid being shut down.

This is exactly the kind of scenario top AI scientists and yes, sci-fi films have been warning us about for years. But what does this actually mean? Are we watching the first signs of AI overtaking humans? Or was it just an isolated glitch?

How Private Equity Profits From Your Sickness

In America, you don't really own your life anymore. You rent it from health insurers. But as if that wasn't enough, they're not even the biggest threat anymore. Private equity firms are increasingly getting involved. Doctors and nurses concerned profits are put ahead of patients as more private equity firms take over healthcare groups.

In 2006, three private equity firms bought the largest hospital chain in the country for $33 billion. And fast forward to today and private equity now owns 488 hospitals across America, over 6,000 doctor practices and roughly 750 nursing homes that your grandma is residing at. So now that might not seem like much, but they're expanding quietly and quickly because your sickness is making them billions.

But what does this actually mean for you when you get sick? After a private equity takeover, patients were more likely to suffer infections, suffer from falls, or even die. But hold on, aren't insurance denials way worse? I mean, you don't see private equity CEOs getting ill. Well, the thing is, private equity has been quietly reshaping the entire health care system so that every patient pays more, gets less, and even if you don't use their facilities, you're still paying a hidden tax.

I mean, look, there's a reason that Breaking Bad could only happen in the US. I don't have the greatest insurance. So, the obvious question is, how did we get here? And why is private equity allowed to profit off your sickness? Well, the deeper I looked, the more I realized that healthcare is not broken. It's working exactly as private equity intended.

The Man Who Is Destroying Society Forever

This video you clicked on right now is partially funded by BlackRock as YouTube who pays us is run by Google which has given 7% of its shares to BlackRock. But just take a look at everything around you. The building complex you live in is either owned by them or being eyed up by BlackRock. The food you order on Uber Eats again has given at least 7% of their stock to BlackRock. The car you drive, the computer and phone used to watch this.

The coffee you drink in the morning, the airlines you use, the energy and electricity and politicians you vote for are all controlled by BlackRock. Every day in your life, the habits, purchases, addictions, and beliefs are all molded by a single company. We're all funded by them, whether you know it or not. And now, BlackRock is literally trying to control the very AI algorithms that will transform the entire economy and society we live in to cement their position of unabetting power.

But sure, by now we've all seen the videos and memes talking about BlackRock, the company that owns everything. And then we move on and invest with them in the S&P 500 and forget about it. There's just nothing you can do. Yet, without even realizing it, every day of your life is actually being made ever so slightly worse by them.

And the only way this can stop is once we are all truly aware of how badly each and every one of you watching is, without exaggeration, being screwed. Because on the surface, it's strange that a company this mindblowingly powerful is almost never talked about on TV. It's never mentioned in the newspapers or by politicians or even journalists. Why is this? Why does nobody really know that much about what BlackRock‘s truly doing?

Sure, there's a few videos here and there talking about it, but the true extent of their power is never really mentioned. Maybe it's because they're one of the biggest shareholders in Disney, Fox, Comcast, Warner Brothers, and Discovery, basically every major media network on Earth.

But it isn't just controlling the narrative directly by doing this, but it does make sure that all the media companies it invests in have strong incentives not to bite the hand that feeds them. Media companies have no reason to dig too deeply into their owner, especially knowing that it won't do them any favors. But it's not just with the media companies. BlackRock has now recently started turning its attention to AI, the next frontier of information influence, the stuff that's controlling the hearts and minds of the new generation.

The Creepy Cameras On Every Corner

They’re on street corners, utility poles, even garbage trucks... and they’re tracking everywhere you go. Welcome to the world of Automatic license plate readers. These aren't just cameras. They're part of a cloud-based surveillance network logging your movements in real time, and creating a warrantless database for law enforcement. In this video, I explain:
  • How ALPRs work
  • Why this system almost surely violates the Fourth Amendment
  • How we allowed this dragnet surveillance grid to take root
  • And what we can do to push back
This isn’t just about your car. It’s about whether privacy and freedom can still exist outside your front door. Freedom of movement isn’t really free if you’re being tracked every step of the way.

AI Psychosis Is Coming For Everyone (You Are Not Immune)

Let me start with an analogy. It won't make sense right now, but it will make sense at the end. During World War II, Japanese forces took the Pacific theater south from mainland Japan into the Melanesian Islands, many of which were populated with uncontacted tribes. In a bid to coax the islanders into doing free labor, the Japanese had a plan. Play into their archaic beliefs and pretend to be their ancestors, airdropping food, clothing, and modern technology in exchange for their work.

However, after the war ended, the airdrops stopped coming. Confused with what happened, the islanders began developing rituals to bring back the airdrops. They would build fake runways, march around in groups holding carved wooden rifles, wear wooden headphones, and stand in fake control towers. By mimicking what they saw the soldiers do, they hoped to once again beckon the
technology which they did not understand. Technology they didn't ask for, but soon began to worship as divine intervention. As if the hand of God himself reached out to pull the islanders into salvation.

You may think this sounds silly, like the behavior of a simple archaic culture. Yet 80 years later, and history repeats itself, by the power of technology, we rain, dance, and sacrifice ourselves in hope to bring back the meaning, comfort, and authority of a god that left us. Religious revelations and AI psychosis at the hands of chat GBT and LLMs have dominated headlines.

The dead have spoken from heaven. Our loved ones have been digitally resurrected. and our tech overlords think the antichrist is coming. We look inside the computer and like the islanders with their airdrops, we see the hand of God himself pulling us towards salvation. You may think this is crazy. You may think you're above it, but it will still come for you.

I shared this elsewhere in response to a question. If you see it twice that’s why but it was meant to be here. I think everyone should hear what says. The naysayers will tell you we’re alright but they’re not running those firms. Ai doesn’t require a salary, benefits or time off. Their loyalties are to shareholders not employees. Remember that. If you doubt that’s so watch the video on BlackRock I posted yesterday.

The REAL Reason ONLY 5 Jobs Will EXIST in 24 Months
*The shorter version*

Artificial Intelligence could end humanity and take away nearly every job. Dr Roman Yampolskiy, one of the world’s leading experts on AI safety, explains why AGI could arrive as soon as 2027, why 99% of jobs could disappear, and why governments are completely unprepared for what comes next. Dr Yampolskiy warns that AI will not only cause mass unemployment but could also bring about a humanity-level collapse. From the singularity to superintelligence, he reveals why we may be facing the last invention humans will ever make, and why simply “turning off AI” is not an option.

The AI Safety Expert: These Are The Only 5 Jobs That Will Remain In 2030! - Dr. Roman Yampolskiy
*Full version*

Dr. Roman Yampolskiy reveals how AI will take 99% of jobs, why Sam Altman is ignoring safety, and how we’re heading toward global collapse…or even World War III.

Dr. Roman Yampolskiy is a leading voice in AI safety and a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. He coined the term “AI safety” in 2010 and has published over 100 papers on the dangers of AI. He is also the author of books such as, ‘Considerations on the AI Endgame: Ethics, Risks and Computational Frameworks’.

He explains:

How AI could release a deadly virus
Why these 5 jobs might be the only ones left
How superintelligence will dominate humans
Why ‘superintelligence’ could trigger a global collapse by 2027
How AI could be worse than nuclear weapons
Why we’re almost certainly living in a simulation

Exposing the Gambling Epidemic

Gambling has changed. It used to be you'd lose your money on slots in Vegas. But today, not only can you do that, you can also bet on your favorite sports team, on the opening coin toss, on this individual pitch, or on all three in a parlay. You can do it from your phone, your tablet, your Apple Watch.

You don't just have to gamble on sports. You can gamble on esports, on video game items, on slots with those items. You can do it in Roblox or on regular stocks, on meme stocks. Gamble with calls. Gamble on earning calls. Gamble on calls with earning calls. You can gamble on political events, world events.

You can bet if Solinski is going to wear a suit before July, if Jerome Pal is going to say inflation 50 or 60 times in September, you don't just have to gamble on that. You can gamble on cryptocoins, Trumpcoin, Dogecoin, Farcoin. You can gamble on the champion of Farcoin. Hey, you can gamble on any of the posts the champion of Farcoin has ever made on whether they will become popular. And if none of that's your cup of tea, you can also just gamble directly within your banking app on a game of roulette like a gentleman.

Big Pharma Secretly Pays Big $$$ to Social Media Influencers (You’ll Never Guess Who)

Did you know that Big Pharma and Big Food buy social media influencers? These social media health gurus influence what you eat, the decisions you make about your health, and attempt to invalidate other health influencers and information. As Big Pharma loses public trust, it turns to social media influencers to try to regain it.

Since 2000, penalties for Big Pharma have totaled over $126 billion. Sixty billion of that was related to patient injury and harm. Modern medicine, with the help of Big Pharma, has shifted its focus from health to profit.

Approximately 90% of the media on TV is funded by Big Pharma. This is also true for digital marketing. On average, social media influencers are paid $20 to $25 per 1,000 views. If that influencer has more trust, they can make 8 to 12 times this amount. Based on my trustworthiness and credibility, I could be paid between $250,000 and $500,000 for a 60- to 90-second post.

Big Pharma goes through PR firms to connect with social media influencers. These influencers are required to disclose that they’re being paid, but many of them do not. People like Dr. Mike recommend medicine and vaccines yet claim Big Pharma is not paying them.

Dietitians for larger agencies, such as the American Beverage Association and the Canadian Sugar Institute, have gotten into trouble with the FTC for being paid to share dietary advice without disclosing their financial ties.

It’s often difficult to determine whether Big Pharma is influencing health information online, but examining the intention can sometimes help. Are they recommending fewer ultra-processed foods and chemical drugs, or more? Check out their funding. Is it coming from Big Food or Big Pharma? This is a big sign that they’re being influenced.

House prices were a bubble that popped 2008 because the federal reserve floating ballance sheet finally blew up, and according to a number of people, that was the plan all along. (Bush and clinton nullified all the independent state rules on predatory lending to make it happen)

But Homelessness has always been a problem.

When i called the sherrif to deal with a homeless person i had let live in my house, i was told its a civil matter and if you let someone stay in your home for one day, legally speaking you must go through the arduous eviction process.

I had a friend at the time with a backhoe and we seriously thought to start digging a hole in the yard to send him a message. He left a few days before we reached that point.

In washington state at least, i could find a few hundred people a home if the home owners could evict them within a week of trouble.

I could build 10 so called tiny homes on my land, if i didnt have to post a few (tens) million as bond for liability... Because the simple reality is someone has to subsidize the risk.

House prices were a bubble that popped 2007 because the federal reserve floating ballance sheet finally blew up.

The housing bubble primarily affected properties that were never intended to be actual affordable housing in the first place. Since then, affordable housing has not been built.

Couch surfing isn't a serious remedy for the shortage of affordable housing.

Airport Lounges Are Everything Wrong With the Economy!

Airport lounges are the embodiment of everything wrong with our modern economy. From the shifting dynamics of what it means to be wealthy to shipflation, financialization, and conspicuous consumption, the exponential proliferation of these little rims of manufactured superiority are a great way to measure some underappreciated changes in the world over the last 20 years.

Now, you might think that the 500% increase in the number of airport lounges over the last two decades is little more than yet another sign that rich people are getting even richer, which is not exactly shocking anymore. But actually, it's the exact opposite of that. Airport lounges are not for rich people anymore. It's for people who think this is how rich people travel.
