  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Another look at the moon landing.

:sigh:

I wasn't talking about you; I replied to d taylor's post.
You just jumped in and told me that was a horrible thing to say - presumably without carefully reading the post I was replying to.

My apologies.

Why is that a bright side?
The comment was that globe earth/moon landing believers don't know how to read the Bible.
Well ive heard the same written about flat earthers such as flat heads who don’t know how to read their bibles. The ding dong love affair does continue I guess. Strong in him there more serious things grumble about as mentioned in my previous post ‍♀️

I will say they covered all areas in this deception, even finding Streptococcus mitis. I wonder how it escaped from the first mission to get out into the moons environment.

This deception keeps getting stranger and stranger
Plus the quarantining of the astronauts, because they may have unknown pathogens that could have been brought back from the Moon.

Evolution in full use here.

Tardigrades can survive in the vacuum of space, and they are much more complex organisms than bacteria and viruses, so it was not an unreasonable precaution.

Yes. I've never heard of anyone being burned by anyone else for "reading the Bible", so forgive me for being sceptical.

Apple Id agree you on that. Once your stretching over the 10 thousand mark and into the billions of years. One can pretty well make up anything they like. It’s no longer historical reality anymore
I would just point out that there are plenty of Christians who believe the ear to be a globe, and don't doubt the truth of the moon landings, who would say as you do that the earth is not billions of years old.

Well I guess our evolutionary friends need the millions or billions of years for evolution theory to work. Without it evolution is a cooked chook i guess. Now you go from Genesis to the entire Bible : ) I think some 1600 hundred years all up. Beginning closely somewhere around where Hentenza quotes and finishing somewhere in the 1st century AD
I don't believe in evolution, or in a billions-of-years-old earth, but I do believe that the moon landings took place. This thread is about the moon landings, not the age of the earth.

Well get back on board - What do think God would say about man walking on the moon ?
Well as he gave people curiosity and the ability to discover, ask questions and experiment; as he gave gifts of science and invention, I expect he'd be pleased that they used them. AND that they gave him the glory by reading from Genesis and taking Holy Communion.

What do you think he'd say about astronauts who had walked on the moon, become Christians and were using their experiences to attract crowds of people and then tell them about Jesus?

What do you think he'd say about another Christian who had once believed this, then changed their mind and called him a liar?

King James Bible
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good - 1 Thessalonians 5:21
What was GOOD was when you said "sorry" to God for doubting the astronauts, wrote a prayer on these forums asking him to bless them, and saying that you would ask for his (God's) help in sticking to your new belief.
Your words were something like, "it will be tough but with his help I'll get there."
Then you found a flat earth clip on YouTube, changed your mind and went back to calling the astronauts, liars.

You didn't hold fast then, did you?

He weren't to pleased at Babel.
Which was nothing like the moon landings, as you've been told.

If God was so upset/displeased that men had walked on the moon, why did he let them do it on 3 further occasions?
12 men walked on the moon - 12.
It wouldn't surprise me if someone, somewhere was drawing a comparison between the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 disciples, the 12 precious stones which decorate the wall in Revelation 21 and the 12 who walked on the moon. That would be ridiculous - but more understandable than your "no, it didn't happen, they're all liars", position.

He weren't to pleased at Babel.
I have mention before the reason why He wasn't too pleased at Babel. He had specifically commanded the people to spread out over the earth. The builders of the tower went directly against God's command to spread out:

“And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”” (Ge 11:4 NKJV)

God has not given a command that says men should never go to the moon.
