CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Once again, if the viewpoint is above the waves, as it was in Rob Skiba's video, the waves have zero impact on what is hidden.

Do you acknowledge that absolutely no-one is taking photos of the Chicago skyline by lying flat on the ground at the water's edge? Since they are always at an elevation back from the lake's edge, and their camera is either on a tripod or being held at eye level, the waves on the lake will not play any role in hiding the bottom of the buildings across the lake.

I know the moon exists as I see it most nights but as far as astronauts walking on God's creation is a big NO NO for me.

Yes, I'm sure it is for you - but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
The astronauts' testimonies don't become made up because you don't believe them.
The photos don't become faked.
The moon rocks don't suddenly disappear.
The history books don't rewrite themselves, and the Russians don't start bragging because they were first to walk on the moon.
The first moon landing, where people got out, walked on the moon, read from Genesis etc happened in 1969. That's almost 60 years ago.
Men walked on the moon again a couple of years later, and again after that.
You don't believe those facts. All that means is that you don't believe them.
Millions of others do - including all the astronauts' families, colleagues, people who built the rockets and so on. Claiming that they're all lying/working together to deceive the general public says far more about you than it does about them.
We all walk on the earth, and that's God's creation too.

As I keep telling you I know for a fact that the lunar landings happened. I’m a witness to it but all you have are the words of a cab driver and a couple of other nuts. Plus I see that another nut joined you here.

As you are my brother in Christ I have to be honest here, I don't think I am being deceived, I think it is you along with millions of others who are being deceived via NASA & these other space agencies, however I do appreciate your kind concern but I don't think wild horses could shift me from my belief.

I read a post which explained this. I know you saw it too, but like everything else, you just choose not to believe it.
The last of the 12 people who have walked on the moon did so in 1972, I believe. Have a look at that chart which I posted earlier.
Even if only one man had walked on the moon only once; it still happened.
Like I said; a true conspiracy theorist, or someone who is paranoid.
"Everyone else is deceived - not me guv".

A deceived person doesn't know that they are deceived - eg JWs.
That's almost proof of what I am saying.
You believe that millions of people have been deceived - while you and a few others, haven't.
Those millions include extremely clever and well educated scientists, astronauts etc - while you, who know nothing about science, are one of the few who has the truth.
That said, none of this has anything at all to do with the Gospel. If you are determined to believe it, that's up to you; it won't change anything.
There is nothing for us globe earth, moon landing believers to be deceived about - we still have Jesus and the Gospel.

What's the very worst that could happen? Someone, somewhere might one day say, "HA! It was all a con - we fooled you. In fact we spent millions of dollars making sure that we fooled you - all the rockets, etc were fake."
So what?
If the average person was told that they would no doubt say, "so you fooled me; who cares? You spent all that money trying to make sure that I believed in the moon landings - so what? It hasn't even affected, let alone ruined, my life, and I'm not the one in debt for millions of dollars."
Of course they can never say that because everyone knows they did happen; not least the men who walked on the moon.

Flat Earth or globe earth; moon landings or not - it makes no difference whatsoever to our faith or the Gospel. Unless of course a person spends so much time on it, they no longer bother about the Gospel. (And I don't mean you.)
This is why "being deceived" makes little sense - it has nothing to do with our faith.
The only person who tries to deceive Christians is the devil. And he couldn't care less about moon landings; he just wants to keep people away from the cross.
