Did you ever watch the television show X-Play? It was a great TV show that featured videogame reviews. TechTV (later G4) also had other videogames themed shows.

You never played Animal Crossing before? You should try it. It's a slower paced game. What's cool is that the game has an internal clock. So whatever time it is for you in real life, it is also the same time in the game. They also have Holidays in the game, although other than New Years Eve the Holidays are slightly different than the real life ones.

You can fish and stuff, and you can only catch certain fish depending on the month. Not sure if you have played Farming Sins like Stardew Valley before, but it's similar.
