I notice you ignore the one action that could have the most immediate impact in saving the lives of those precious children. Simply just protect them like we do politicians and celebrities. Why is that not part of the conversation if it is the children who are our primary concern? Our children are our future and worth protecting. This gun grabbing mentality will not get the job done especially in the short term. Why are people not screaming as loudly to protect our children?Never mind those "fake emotional pleas" from "liberal politicians", listen to the parents who have had their children shot dead. Excuse those liberal politicians for echoing their pain. This is vicious cycle. And it goes, school shooting; outrage; followed by "thoughts and prayers" and then; "it's too soon and we shouldn't politicize this"; then nothing gets done: then the next shooting happens, wash, rinse, repeat. Yes, mental illness should be address just as the left has advocated. There was time where federal funding helped keep the doors of mental institutions open. It wasn't the left who shut that down. This admin DOGE'ed every state in a loss for mental health funding, and now it's incumbent on the states who don't have the money to fill that void. There is a problem in the US, and thoughts and prayers and doing nothing is not a plan.
