The toxic algal blooms are probably due to agricultural runoff to a great degree.

Many Americans are not aware, but northern Central Florida has a large cattle industry. We also grow a fair amount of crops like lettuce, celery, strawberries, flowers, and sod. People have been complaining about agriculture pollution for quite some time, but agriculture is one of Florida's top industries and has alot of political power.

Yeah...you are.

Did it, long long before you made your posts. Modern farming methods are the only thing sustaining a 8 billion population. The processes involved are entirely petrochemical dependent.

To go back to subsistence farming on acreage and earlier farming methods we have to see about 6-7 billion people die.

And that's probably a generous estimate.
It's a very sorry estimate because it's not at all true...

I just did a very simple and easy Google search "Can we feed everyone in the world", and I very well could have phrased it in other kinds of ways as well, but we have and produce more than enough even right now, etc...

And you seem to think that we would have to completely abandon all modernism completely, and that's just not true, it would all just have to be different or done differently, etc, and we are unwilling to make the changes, because of sin, etc...

God Bless!

I also did a search on "can subsistence farming feed the world" also, just in case, or just for you, etc, and it very well could, if all the other problems were eliminated as well, (due to other sinful evils or practices, etc)...

I think you may need to do more research, or maybe more Google searches at least, to know all that is involved, and all that I am talking about, etc...

God Bless!

No hatred. I'm describing him according to what you believe.

You believe he created the world and mankind....correct?
I believe the Father is ultimately responsible for all, yes....

But that His only crime, was giving both us, and all of this, "life", etc...

Is that why you hate Him, etc...?

God Bless!

Our collective irresponsibility and greed driven systems do a great deal of damage to the planet that create a lot of waste and are turning the earth into a barren wasteland, but if it were not for that, say in the instance of having enough food, etc, even if we had to go back to more traditional farming methods, "even if", etc, it still could be done pretty easily, if we all changed right now collectively and completely right now, etc...

But I think we all know that is just not going to happen, etc, and it may be already too late, as a great deal of the pollution we have already put out, or damage we have already done (past tense) we are still going to be feeling the full effects of progressively for still another thirty or forty years or so, to say nothing of what we are doing or how we are adding to it still now, etc...

God Bless!

I'd be surprised if even one single individual can make all the changes that are or would be necessary in even their own life even right now, etc, so how do you think all peoples everywhere are supposed to all each do it everywhere across the globe completely collectively or as an entire species or race, etc...?

Just not going to happen without God getting involved, etc, and Him doing away with all those who do not, or will not, or cannot make the change, etc...

Or will not submit to His leadership/rule, etc...

God Bless!

Manatees rely mainly on seagrass, beds of which have been smothered by pollutants along with outbreaks of toxic algae blooms intensified by climate change.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will target an area south of the Kennedy Space Center on the state’s central Atlantic coast: the Indian River Lagoon, where more than 500 manatees have died this year. The problem is especially acute in the northern Indian River Lagoon, where roughly 96 percent of 77,000 acres of seagrass have disappeared.

A federal judge rejected a state attempt to end a lawsuit involving manatee deaths in the Indian River Lagoon last week.

The lawsuit involves wastewater discharges there, alleging it has led to seagrass dying, and manatees dying from starvation.

The judge said a trial is needed to determine whether the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has violated the Endangered Species Act.

Experts said that it’s important to consider if there is a continuing ongoing violation of federal law.

Florida agency asks court to overturn judge's decisions on protecting manatees in northern Indian River Lagoon

Describing the case as having "exceptional importance," the Florida Department of Environmental Protection this week argued a federal appeals court should overturn decisions that required the agency to take a series of steps to protect manatees in the northern Indian River Lagoon.

[What's the name of your department again?]

Mendoza in April ruled the department violated the Endangered Species Act and followed in May with the order that included a moratorium on new septic tanks in the area and other measures, such as requiring the establishment of biomedical-assessment and supplemental-feeding programs for manatees in the area. Septic tanks discharge nitrogen that can cause harmful algae blooms in waterways.
