Hey, I got convicted today about leaving a Rapture note for my mother who is kind of on the fence about Jesus, so a letter outlining to her what is going to happen in the world if/when a Rapture does occur is necessary. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. Shame on me.

Of note, today I saw a post about Rapture that I thought was very interesting, so I'll share it now. In Revelation 4:5 it says: From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing

i find it very interesting that the seven lamps (presumably from Rev 2 & 3) are in the throne room BEFORE Tribulation occurs in Revelation. That would seem to indicate that the 7 churches have been taken in Rapture.

okay, on to my note to my mother. Give me feedback and let me know if you've done the same for unbelieving family/friends to help them navigate the perilous trib. Some people may disagree with what i am about to say, but the only response I can give is; desperate times call for desperate measures. I would do anything, at this point, to preserve my mother's soul.

DEAR MOM
If you are reading this, I have disappeared in what we Christians know as "The Rapture." Great evil is about to come upon the Earth soon, if it is not already present. You must leave this world quickly. You cannot take the Mark of the Beast, that will be required for buying amd selling. If you take the Mark, you will burn forever. Do not tell [brother], he will not believe you and will probably encourage you to stay and take the mark. There should be public executions with guillotines. Go and cut your head off, for the sake of Jesus, the only God who is true. If the mark is being enforced without these public execution areas, you must kill yourself instantly by getting into a head-on collision while driving. That is the only way I can think to end your life immediately. You must not take the mark. Die for Jesus and I will see you in Heaven. You were and are a good mother [name]. Do as I say and leave this world soon. DO NOT TAKE THE MARK.

Love your son, [name]

That would seem to indicate that the 7 churches have been taken in Rapture.
This verse tells me that the churches will be here. A letter to one of the churches...

Revelation 2:10 "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.."

This mirrors what will happen in Revelation 12

Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Sa'-tan, which deceived the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

We are told the seven lamps are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 4:5 "And out of the throne proceeded lightning and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

I used to believe in a pretrib rapture as well but I don't find it biblical. Although I know others see and believe differently.

I see a big problem with your letter. If your mom is not raptured, then that means she has never believed in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life. So in your letter, you never tell her to believe in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life.

Mom if you want God's free gift of Eternal Life, you must believe in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life, believing Jesus is who He says He is. the Son of God/The Messiah, the resurrection and the life.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Yes thank you. I have told her this before but I will ensure that it is impressed upon her that she must believe that Jesus is God/Messiah

I wouldn't tell her to kill herself. Getting saved by placing her trust in Christ is sufficient to protect her soul. Besides, she might find the letter after your physical death was not part of the rapture and misunderstand the note and kill herself without being saved. I would be terrible if this happened.

Not if the mark is in play. I fear her faith would not be strong enough to guarantee her protection

There's nothing in the bible about post rapture salvation from a plain meaning.
Only when someone forces a doctrine like pretrib rapture, and then assuming all the saints are a new class of people "tribulation saints" is there this idea. It's not biblical.

Jesus didn't warn about 5 foolish virgins being rejected and told them to come back 7 years later.
They were rejected utterly.
Jesus didn't warn about watching and praying because if you miss the rapture you'll go through tribulation.
Nay
rather He warned they would go through tribulation and THEN they would be gathered in the rapture.

Amos 8 has a pretty stark warning
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
This language should sound familiar, it's in Matthew 24:29-30, Revelation 6:12-17, Zechariah 12:10, etc. It's the Day of the Lord

So what happens after that? It's bleak.
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
They look for the Word of God, and can't find it, and nobody preaches it anymore (they've been raptured). That doesn't sound like the "tribulation saints" doctrine of Pre-trib rapture proponents does it, where the rapture causes billions of people to turn to Christ.
That's because it's a made up doctrine, not supported by the Bible and in fact, this passage is evidence against it.

14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.
The people left behind do not repent, they double down on idolatry.

It echoes this in Revelation 9:
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
They know God is doing this, but in these passages they curse God rather than repent.

When the guests go into the wedding feast.. the doors are shut.. permanently.

NOW is the day of Salvation.
not post rapture.

But the good news is, Tribulation is not what you think it is.
It is not the Wrath of God. It is persecution by men.

I'm sorry, but what a dreadful idea.

Your mum is "on the fence" about Jesus, so instead of explaining just how much he loves her, died for her and wants her to be with him forever, you've, basically, said, "I've now gone to be with him; you need to end your life immediately, because otherwise all these awful things will happen to you".
(That's assuming that you are correct in your idea of a "rapture".)

I can't see how that would help, or reassure, anyone
