Yes, it would include birth control that prevents implantation of a fertilized egg.
What is the stand on artificially fertilized eggs used in fertility clinics?

The contraceptive mindset, whether abortifacient or not, is the root cause of abortion. If we only had sex when there was a need or desire to have children, there would be no abortion. Modern man's obsession with sex is an error which brings forth death

The longer things go the more the Church is proven wise in matters affecting sexuality and reproduction. Research is coming out that women who use birth control are more likely to become lesbians.

Literally, when you put it that way.

I was on a left leaning political board talking about abortion, and it was amazing that people seemed to see no connection at all between sex and having children. By my being against abortion, they tried to tell me I was part of the patriarchy wanting to "punish" women who had sex by forcing them to have children. I kept saying that having children was a natural potential consequence of having sex, and people should take responsibility for that. But they only wanted to frame abortion in the sense of women's rights, and that any effort to limit abortion was an attack on a woman's control of her own body.

They view pleasure as their right, and in doing so they reject God. God gives them free will, so yes it is their “right” to choose abortion and the futile quest to pursue pleasure for its own sake.
What they do not realize is that the end of their choice is death. Both their child’s and their own soul. When one rejects God, who can save us from this body of death?
The pursuit of pleasure is like all addictions. We can clearly see the harm, but it is almost impossible to take an alcoholic from his drink or an addict from his fix even though they know that they are harming themselves.
We need to hold up the Christian life as examples of those that are not ruled by our passions. This involves prayer fasting and almsgiving. We take up our cross and follow Our Lord in humility, as only the Spirit of God can convert their hearts. Human argument alone cannot do it.
Even alcoholics realize that only a higher power can save them from their drink.
We know the only power comes through Our Lord Jesus Christ. He denied Himself all the pleasures of the world and chose the joy of love by His death on the cross. We follow Him by denying ourselves and taking up our cross

"Contraceptive mindset" is an excellent way to put it. While I've always seen abortion and euthanasia as horrific crimes, even before coming back to the Church, I was a slow learner when it comes to contraception...

...The writer Mary Harrington makes the observation that the Pill was the first time in history that medical practice wasn't used for the purpose of correcting something abnormal or broken and making it whole, but about taking something that was healthy and unnaturally modifying it for a non-medical end. This was something of an eye-opener for me. And of course St. Pope Paul VI's prophetic warnings in Humanae Vitae have proven to be exactly correct.

I was slow too brother. I thought what is the big deal with birth control? If a couple is not refusing to have children, why can’t they regulate the number?
What did not realize is that contraception destroys a marriage and turns it into a mutual masturbation contract, which is disgusting. Is it no wonder that we have gender confused roles today when we are only expected to pleasure each other and not fulfill our duty?
Contraception destroys masculinity all the while telling a man he is free, but he does not realize that he forfeits his manhood in favor of becoming an acronym, what I term as a dynamically inserted libido delighting object, not a husband.
When she is tired of him, she develops disdain for him and throws him away. There is no respect for men, no respect for women, which all stems from a disdain for God’s command in favor of bodily pleasure.
Yes, the thief does come to kill, rob and destroy. Rob the couples of dignity, kill the babies and destroy the family. Great plan. Could it come from anywhere else but Hell itself?
