Four Quebecers, including two active members of the Canadian Armed Forces, who were allegedly involved in activities of “ideologically motivated violent extremism” with the intention of “forcibly take possession of land in the Quebec City area” have been arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Three of the accused — Marc-Aurèle Chabot, 24, of Quebec City, Simon Angers-Audet, 24, of Neuville and Raphaël Lagacé, 25, of Quebec City — allegedly “took concrete actions to facilitate terrorist activity,” the RCMP states.

“The three accused were planning to create [an] anti-government militia,” the force notes.

Numerous weapons and military equipment related charges as well as the terror charge.

"Numerous prohibited weapons"

So exactly how many pocket knives, hockey sticks, and empty maple syrup bottles did they have in their possession?
That is a rather snarky and ignorant question when the article has this:

Lagacé faces charges including careless storage of 50 firearms, possessing 47 magazines with prohibited capacity, as well as laser sighting systems and night vision goggles without registering them, which is a violation of the Defence Production Act.
There were also smoke granades.

Know any hockey sticks that shoot bullets or create smoke?

Well with an unsecured southern border and a violent and unstable country on the other side, you can imagine some bad hombres get through with illegal weapons from time to time.

It was supposed to be a snarky commentary based on the fact that the bar is extremely low for what Canada considers a "prohibited weapon"

Possessing or carrying pepper spray is a criminal offense in Canada. It is classified with the other types of possession offenses outlined in sections 88 to 91 of the Criminal Code.

The law takes a firm stand on the possession of pepper spray. If you are caught in possession of pepper spray, you can be charged with a criminal offense and could face a maximum 10-year prison sentence or a fine of up to $5,000.
