Like the title says, which US President since 2000 has had the most hate directed at them?

I say it's Donald Trump.

Which US President has thrown the most hate - at anyone who he thinks "doesn't like me!"?

Hint: He and a murderous dictator, who were once taunting each other with who has the bigger nukes, are now best buds because "I think he likes me!"

Biden or Trump, hard to say which. It seems that the political emotions on both sides of the spectrum are more and more extreme, in recent years.

Because of the political radicalization, any president is uncritically supported by one side and hated by the other side, which is roughly 50:50 in the US society.

Biden.

Trump is probably the most criticized, but that is not hate.
What's been said about Biden on a national scale on a regular basis, that would constitute hate as opposed to the mere criticism Trump has received?

That's not what's being asked.

Sure it is. No matter how much a person is hated, the true measure of his character is in how he responds.

The man waves a Bible. Do you think he reads it?

Same question for all self-glorifying politicos.

If President Trump is regarded as the most disliked president, then he would not be considered the most popular. These two terms represent opposite ends of public opinion.

Yet, he was elected President twice, despite being most disliked President since 2000. This highlights perceived flaws in American democracy.

As the person who asked the question, it's up to me to decide what question is being asked. I'll take your answer (and similar responses by others) as: Trump because he deserves it. Which is perfectly acceptable.

Okay, so which US President since 2000 has had the most hate directed at them?

The answer is always: The current president. The current president is the one who garners the most hate. There may be some noise in the signal, but the trend in over the last 40+ years has always been upward.

What makes Trump different from all the others, regardless of party, is that he solicits it. He's a showman who intuitively understands that controversy generates ratings - some have described it as dominating the "attention economy." He feeds off of it and uses it to his advantage. "Flooding the zone" also has the effect of undermining the effectiveness of the criticism by making people weary of the constant complaining. So, it's hard to feel sorry for the guy or take seriously the whining of his supporters when he's attracting this negative attention on purpose.

You answered your own question in your OP: according to you, President Trump is the most disliked president since 2000. This suggests that more popular candidates haven't always won, highlighting flaws in American democracy.

I started this thread to continue an off topic debate in another thread because you said:
It is a recurring pattern among some MAGA supporters in this forum to refer back to statements such as “let’s return to the original topic” or “please follow the rules and stay on topic” when they are unable to continue an argument.
Now it seems like you're being evasive.

You started this thread by claiming that President Trump is most disliked. If that is indeed your position, then it is noteworthy that an individual considered to be widely disliked was elected President of the United States twice.

If an individual widely regarded as unpopular in the United States is elected president twice, it raises questions about certain aspects of democracy in America.

Well I can change it to just Trump 45 if that balances it out better. Isn't interesting though how much it's claimed that Trump is worshiped by millions? Not just liked or approved of, but literally worshiped.

Well he's despised by the left, and left leaning media, and left leaning talk show hosts and commentators who seem to have a monopoly. But as for all of the voters in the United States, that's obviously not the consensus. So it seems to be a matter of despite a media and entertainment industry monopoly trashing him to the Nth degree, voters weren't swayed by all of their excessive vitriol.

After realizing that Trump is also widely disliked abroad (Canada, the EU, Greenland...) then probably Trump, in sum.

Also, two domestic assassination attempts are quite extreme.
A lot of comments about the failure of those attempts were quite extreme as well. I believe a number of folks got into trouble over what they said.
