Oh? And how were they "provoked"? ICE showed up to to their job. If those affected feel "provoked" by that, they shouldn't have illegally been in this country to begin with. When they're here illegally, they shouldn't be continuing to do illegal things, such as assault law enforcement officers, loot and burn down businesses, murder people--you know, things like that.
Hey, maybe if those people don't want to be arrested by ICE, they shouldn't be doing the things that provoke an arrest warrant being issued against them.
Do the crime, do the time.
First of all, you forget that Trump, in his desperate attempt to pretend we are overrun by dark-skinned criminals, has actually suspended all the refugee visas that grant them legal status due to their fleeing persecution. So legal today, gone tomorrow? What's fair about that? (Ans. Nothing!)
Secondly, a friend on Long Island has been trying to help the Catholic Nigerian priests who are here legally on work visas, ministering to faithful Christians, and waiting to get their green cards. The priest in her parish, who will be deported in a week, was on a list to get a green card for three years! And that means, of course, that others doing needed work in NY, including religious priest and nuns, will also be deported when their work permits expire. Why? Because the Trump administration decides people with work visas sponsored by their employers can be deported if they just put a closed sign in front of the Green Card office.

Thirdly, on Progress Radio they reported that ICE agents wear masks and cover their badges so they can't be identified. They swoop down like aliens in horror movies and don't pay much attention to whether someone is in a protected category, is law abiding, etc."
As far as being "provoked" goes, what in the world is "provoking" all of this unleashed hatred of immigrants? We have immigrants in my town, and we live peaceably with them. They attend our churches, they do wonderful work as roofers, contractors, landscapers, seamstresses, cooks, housekeepers, etc. Their work ethic is unbelievable. Exactly what are they doing that gets you so angry? Are they racing to get parking spots in Wal-Mart before you?
If those affected feel "provoked" by that, they shouldn't have illegally been in this country to begin with.
What's so wrong about empathy? Lack of empathy is not a virtue. It is a sad condition that prevents people from being full human and fully alive.
