How can I improve my saving message?

Short version

To go to Heaven and be saved(eternal life), believe on the Lord Jesus Christ(who is God and our Savior) for eternal life. This means to be saved, believe and trust in Jesus alone that he saved you. In addition, you should believe and trust that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification of our sins.

Long version

To go to Heaven and be saved(eternal life), believe on the Lord Jesus Christ(who is God and our Savior) for his guaranteed promise of eternal life. This means to be saved, believe, trust and have faith in Jesus alone that he saved you. In addition, you should believe, trust and have faith in the gospel that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. The shed blood of Jesus washes clean and justifies all our sins. The gospel is according to the scriptures for our justification of our sins.

Repentance is done when you believe that Jesus is your Savior.

Trust is assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something. More specifically we will use the following that trust means firm belief in the truth of something or someone, in this case that Jesus alone saved you. Also trust means to rely on and a bold, sure and confident security. Also to have faith and to place confidence in something or someone.

Rely on means to need for help; depend on(to be determined or decided by). To believe or trust something or someone. To expect with confidence or be certain that something will happen or exist.

Confident/confidence means to have strong belief and strong certainty in. Confidence also means to have the belief that one can rely on someone or something and that one will act in a right, proper or effective manner.

Faith means to have belief in something or someone without complete proof or the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.

Assured: Characterized by certainty or security. GUARANTEED. Very confident: self assured. Sure that something is certain or true. A being certain in the mind. Confidence of mind or manner : easy freedom from self-doubt or uncertainty.

Reliance, in its simplest form, means depending on or trusting in something or someone.

"Depend on" means to be reliant on something or someone, either for support, guidance, or to be affected by it. It can also imply trust and confidence in someone or something. To be determined or decided by something else.

Placing faith in him, often understood within a religious context, signifies relying on and trusting in a divine figure or a higher power. This trust involves believing in their promises, following their guidance, and surrendering one's will to their divine plan. It's a commitment to a specific spiritual path and can manifest in various ways, including prayer, meditation, or simply living a life aligned with that faith.

Security is the primary focus, referring to the protection from harm, risk, or danger.

Believing in Jesus means that you are convinced by the evidence and witness The Bible gives about who Jesus is. Which the verses i posted states who Jesus says He is. Which is The Son of God/The Messiah, which means Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

So believing in Jesus means you believe this about Jesus and that is how you receive God's free gift of Eternal Life and become a permanent born again child of God.

Believing in Jesus is like believing, George Washington was the first president of America. You do believe George Washington was the first president of America. Which means you were convinced by the evidence you were taught in school about George Washington being Americas first president.

Keep it simple. All we have to do is present the words. The rest is up to Him. Just the WORD!

My 2 cents.

Starts here:
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
(The Gospel)
John 3:14-15
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.
(Lord Jesus' own given analogy on how we are saved, by believing in God's provision)

Moves to here:
Romans 10:13
For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
(God accepts genuine relationship request and initiation and begins working in heart - This equals saved)

Concludes here:
(If they were genuine in their search for God and gave Him their life - Jeremiah 29:13)
1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
(The Water of Life that one drinks and never thirsts again, is the love of God in Christ Jesus - Fills heart and overflows into the world on others - John 4:14)
John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
(Knowing Him means to believe in His love that He proved and trusting Him because He is trustworthy and faithful - Romans 5:8)
1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
(Indicator to one's own self if they were genuine with God and how to know they "know" Him for certain)

This will take a person from unsaved and unsure to saved and certain.

(And I do believe He saves people who simply call on Him with child-like faith according to Romans 10:13 without any of the rest also in some situations. - Luke 23:43)

Edit and addition... I didn't answer the pressing question. I don't think it necessarily needs any improvement. I find God gives us the words people need if we are willing to share His Son and the Gospel to them. Maybe just make sure they know it is a relationship is what I tend to be sure of in my own approach. God wants their heart.

Repent and believe are both commanded by our creator. In order to fulfill those commands you must be born again from above.

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

He removes the heart of stone gives us a heart of flesh and He puts His spirit in us and causes us to obey His commands (believe and repent).

Salvation is of the Lord he alone is the sufficient and effectual cause of our salvation. According to His will and His mercy.

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Jesus saved Peter from drowning or Jesus saved the disciples when He calmed the storm.

Question do you find in The Gospel of John it being stated to believe Jesus is your savior. I ask this about The Gospel of John because it is the only book of The Bible written specifically to tell people how to have life (eternal life)

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

To "believe in" Jesus is to believe he is who he says he is, to love him, obey him and trust in his atonement for the forgiveness of your sin and salvation from God's wrath on your sin at the Judgment.

I use eternal life in the first sentence of my saving message in my original post. "To go to Heaven and be saved(eternal life), believe on the Lord Jesus Christ(who is God and our Savior) for eternal life". I myself use save in the right context. I think the Bible does not state to believe in Jesus as your Savior specifically but does use save(KJV Acts 16:31 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house). Here is use of Savior:

KJV 1 John 4:14 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Correct the bible never says to believe in Jesus as your Savior...

No there is no penalty for sin, as Jesus on the cross took away the sin of the world. People end up in the lake of fire, for one reason only, they never received The Life of God because they never believed in Jesus for The Life of God.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Sin is like a virus that causes creation to malfunction. This aspect of sin is spoken of in Romans 7 "it is no longer I who sins, but the sin within me that sins"

Hell is the presence of God for those unprepared. "As for those who did not want me to be king over them, kill them in my sight" "God is a consuming fire" "The lake of fire, the second death"

You didn't offer suggestions on how to improve. Why did you ask me to define sin and hell? Sin is in my saving message. The definition of hell does not affect or have a place in my main saving message.
