Most in the word of faith would teach that the symptoms do not matter. Faith is evidence enough. Usually to get to faith we have to hear from God, that he gives rhema from a scripture or prayer. This gives us the evidence that we know that we know. Keeping confession of what the word says and praise is always good. God's best to you.

Should I daily thank God for my healing, or daily keep releasing healing in the name of Jesus'? The answer is YES! You never stop thanking God for your healing and you continue to proclaim your healing in the name of Jesus!

What to do if the symptoms return? See Above.

The key thing I have experienced in Word of Faith is that you have to guard the Word of Faith spoken over you or by you. The Enemy will steal your faith and healing if you let him. Your natural immunity is supercharged when you act by faith.

That said, you can't be pounding down a pound of Bacon every morning for breakfast or drinking 32oz Super Big Gulps of Cola every day and think you are going to manifest healing in your body. Be mindful of your diet, allergies and topical soaps, deodorants, and lotions you use. They all contribute to your overall health.

After I have rebuked the sickness and released a healing into my body in Jesus' name, should I daily thank God for my healing, or daily keep releasing healing in the name of Jesus'?

What to do if the symptoms return?

Thanks!
In the Epistle to the Hebrews, Paul states that the most important thing is to please the Father through faith. You believe that you have received, not by some resolution or commitment, but merely by saying the same thing that the word says. He says you were healed by the stripes of Jesus. It is done. So hold that truth in your heart and confess from the heart that you are healed. Also in Heb 11, it says the believers believed the promise until their death, and never backed up, even though they never received it physically. This is what we need to do. Believe and confess the word. He has healed us by his stripes. Amen and amen.

1 Peter 2:24 KJV
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Hebrews 11:13 KJV
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 11:39 KJV
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

So we maintain our faith by standing on the word, even til the day you die. Never back up on His word. Never contradict Him. Never deny His body, which was given for your healing. Those that do are liable to Him and may suffer the judgment of weakness, sickness, and even early death. Do not deny His body! He is not punishing you. You are simply experiencing the judgment that falls on all who do not hold fast to the confession of their health.

1 Corinthians 11:29-30 KJV
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

What to do if the symptoms return?

Thanks!
(1) first paragraph; (2) second paragraph. I'll refer back to (1) and (2) if I need to.

To answer your questions directly:
(1) yes, thank God daily for his healing power in your life. Thank him for everything he does and did for you. This doesn't mean that you need to sit and enumerate explicitly everything in your past -- he knows! -- but have a grateful spirit in prayer.

(2) a bit more nuanced, but stay with your faith.

Now to answer you a bit more indirectly because these things happen to us all every once in a while, right?

And the answer to both (1) and (2) is: it depends upon which teacher you are listening to. Some preachers will preach a covering message. What I mean by that is that if the symptoms return and you get shaken, they know that you didn't have the faith to take care of it in the first place, that it was simple hope, and they will tell you to get back in the fight and gain the faith that says you are healed.

To other preachers they teach a message that is quite pointed. Someone like Andrew Wommack (eg in his book You've Already Got It) will teach that you have to have faith that you are healed, and believe that you are healed because you ARE healed (you've already got it). In other words, to him, you are already healed and are exercising your faith to possess that healing: not to get it anew; but that you already have it. To him you don't look at the symptoms. So in one video from him, he prays with a woman and she declares "I'm healed!" and he declares to her, "You're healed!" And then she says that she'll go to the doctor this week to confirm it. Andrew said in recounting the story: "She lost it. She was healed and she didn't believe it! She lost it."

This all comes down to the same WoF teaching: God heals and you need to use your faith to possess it. Take it. Hold it. Believe it.

So the thanking of God daily is not part of the healing, and if you don't it won't remove your healing. God doesn't play such petty games. But, in faith do you believe you are healed? And if your symptoms return, what is your answer? Do you believe you are healed even if your body does not show a full manifestation? Or do you question your healing. Where is your faith?
