  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had to choose "I didn't vote", since I could not in good conscience cast my vote for either candidate for President of the United States. I did vote in the election for all other positions, but I left the President vote blank.

My conscience is clear that I never once cast a vote for Trump. I can’t imagine an easier choice than to vote against such a clearly unfit candidate.

I did not vote, Ron Paul not first getting the republican nomination when he was running years ago. Ended my voting for the office of President.
I will vote for whom my conscience tells me no matter how tiny the chance of winning.

Well the Republican party, when they did not elect Ron Paul as their nominee. just showed me they really were not serious at addressing the out of control Government spending, etc... and i will never vote Democrat.

At least HALF of the GOP Congress is as bad as the entirety of the Democratic Congress.

I voted for Harris. I was hoping to vote for a conservative Republican this time around, because I didn't care for Biden, and I thought it was the right time for one. Instead, we got Trump again. I've voted against Trump every time.

I have zero faith in politicians nor do I believe they’re genuinely working with the citizens in mind.
Sure they are. They want their votes. Beyond that, though...

I'd answer your question if I thought a vote for democracy could actually save anyone.

And even sadder is those who do not have a chance are not a great deal better. Solidarity Party is usually my best option if they even have a candidate on the ballot.
