The mayor that was arrested has already had his charges dismissed and the judge scolded the US Attorney's office for charging him without a proper investigation.

He was arrested on the scene for his unlawful actions which does not require an “investigation “ but is at the discretion of the arresting officer. The charges were not dismissed because he did nothing wrong, it was an act of good will to dismiss the misdemeanor charge. The mayor got what he wanted which was press time and unwarranted sympathy for his reelection campaign.

One problem here is that many can’t tell the difference between “trumped up” (pun intended)charges by criminal prosecutors and real crimes by rogue judges and holier than thou liberal lying politicians. We have a criminal judge on video and and a Congress woman on video clearly breaking the law and some liberals outraged that they were charged.

I already looked up the hearing. I went straight to the actual source, the raw video from the hearing.

What I am actually curious about is where you found this specific "news" source?

I ask because I did some digging into the site. It's not a credible news source.

It's a blog operated by Sandstone Group. This is a small operation based in Dallas focused on investment in oil and gas. This is one of at least a couple of "news" sites they operate and partly outsourced to the Philippines. I also found several other sites which can be tied to them.

I don't think the site is malicious, but it's definitely suspect.

And saying the mainstream media won't report on this creates a false equivalence suggesting that this is a legit alternative media source. It's not.

Be more skeptical of your "news" sources. Treat sites like this like the ramblings of your 70-year old Uncle Joe on Facebook.

It is a perfectly reasonable request. If you make a claim, it is reasonable to expect you to present the case for your claim.

If you cannot answer these questions, then you should not be making these claims.
