Pyramid Power.

Back in the 70s pyramid power was all the rage with people claiming that they could sharpen razor blades , grow healthier plants and do all kinds of amazing things.

I personally thought it was all a load of bull so I didn't get into it , but a friend of mine did. He would sit inside his framed pyramid and claim he would go into some kind of twilight zone where he would see beautiful fields of colored flowers and other nice things , said it was wonderful.

Then one day I visited him only to find the pyramid had been pulled down and so I asked why?
He said it freaked him out , said he was seeing aliens and demons and all kinds of horrors and things attacking him etc.

I laughed and said well you shouldn't be messing with things you know nothing about , and that was about it.
So does anyone here have any similar stories , or even stories relating to razor blades , plants or anything else , or even knowledge of the whole thing being total nonsense.

I couldn't take my friend seriously because he was a heavy dope smoker and I just figured he must have freaked out.

Ah, pyramid power. One theory of the time was that the shape would focus cosmic rays. IIRC, there was a claim that little cardboard pyramids were sold in an Eastern European country as a means of keeping razor blades sharper longer.

Interesting thing, though: metal has a sort of "memory." The microscopic frazzes on a razor blade edge can somewhat return to their original positions. So if you had put a razor blade in a cardboard box instead of a cardboard pyramid, the results would be the same.

Science Digest did put the claims to the test, however it wasn't classic double-blind experiments and there could have been a lot of variables that weren't the same. Looking back, there was similar hype over polywater, with Edmunds, IIRC, selling DIY polywater kits. Polywater basically turned out to be dirty water. Not a joke.

Over 100 years ago mostly in England Theosophy was popular. A core idea was that through the power of the mind one could project from the Astral plane through the Etheric plane to the material plane whatever you wanted. This often is a key element to Satanic ideas. how to get what you want.

Aiding in this is the human capacity of imagination that can feed self-delusion.

I've heard that pyramid-shaped greenhouses grow better plants, but I haven't heard anything about people or razer blades getting into pyramids.

It was the 70s, the era of Pet Rocks (tm). You had to be there.
