But don't you agree with how I would respond biblically? Just this question.
Well it came up because I said of a gunman pointed a gun at me and said do you believe in Jesus Christ and if you say yes I will shoot you and I told him I would say yes absolutely. I believe in Jesus Christ and then he asked this question. But he thinks a lot with his secular mind. He's 30 years old and knows nothing about the Bible. He does be believe that Jesus is God, but he says if I said no Jesus would understand because He knows what's in my heart.
I’m saying that given the circumstances, you are not denying the Lord if an evil doer threatens to kill your son to force you to say something you know is not true. I believe if your son or daughter said to you in a peaceful setting to love them over the Lord is where the greater meaning of Matthew 10:33-42 comes into play.
In reality, no mother would let their son die .
There is no trap here and am saddened that you believe walking away as a Jesus follower you have been the answer. My son sees his mother not denying Christ and I pray it puts the fire into him to truly question his salvation and in time understand under no circumstances will I deny Christ. Look at Abraham trusting God and taking his son Isaac to be a burnt offering. God bless!
