Income inequality increased under Biden
Were Trump's tax cuts for the rich terminated under Biden?

No, so the tax code favored the wealthiest.

Low income workers did make strides. I don't know how much of that was Biden, how much was local min. wage increases, how much was people leaving low paying jobs for better paying low paying jobs. (The restaurant industry's individual performance really illustrated which restaurants [including fast food] had better pay and managers. The contrast between places that kept partially closing and those that were always open was quite stark.)

It didn't work for me. No matter how great it was statistically it didn't work for a lot of people
Well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Fasten your seatbelt.

"An area of potential economic concern is the incoming Trump administration’s stance on tariffs. President-elect Trump has proposed a 10% tariff on all imports and a 60% tariff on all Chinese goods, which could be interpreted as a bargaining tool in trade negotiations. If these tariffs were enacted as stated, they could lead to higher inflation and reduce overall demand, as well as higher interest rates and a stronger U.S. dollar. According to a recent estimate by the Budget Lab at Yale, these tariffs would raise consumer prices by 1.4% to 5.1% before substitution, equivalent to the cost of $1,900 to $7,600 in disposable income for the average household."

I think that, next to immigration, the biggest reason Harris lost was the Israeli-Gaza War.
That, abortion, and people fatigued with woke, DEI.

Remember, first of all, that the Democrats lost a very close election. 49.9% is not a majority, and the 1.6% margin between Trump and Harris votes was the smallest in decades.
Remember, first of all Trump won every swing state - Trump won both the popular vote and the electoral college - additionally, the Republicans wan the House and the Senate - regardless of the margin - a loss is a loss - the Democratic Party is no longer in the majority. AND they won the election with the worst 34 time felon, racist, mysongenistic, hates Jews, immigrants, homophobic, womanizer in the history of the country. He won over the very best the Democratic Party had to offer. And the party continues to loose approval ratings to it's lowest in history.

Keep that in mind also - that is one amazing rejection of the Democratic Party
I think that, next to immigration, the biggest reason Harris lost was the Israeli-Gaza War. People of conscience were appalled at our funding of Netanyahu's genocide. In Rashida Talib's district, she won by a huge margin, while Biden lost to Trump!
Except the majority supports Irael and Netanyahu in their battle against the worst assault on Jews since the holocaust.
Democrats expressed their displeasure by voting for Jill Stein or staying home.
And quite a few by voting for Trump
I thought this was absolutely crazy. Don't they know that Donald Trump will support Netanyahu's genocide even more strongly, I thought?
Yes - that is why he won. And you can call it what you want - most people realize it is not a genocide.
The idea that he would try to level Gaza, displace the refugees in Eygpt and Syria, and turn it into the Gaza Riviera was so contemptible that I hadn't even envisioned that!
I doubt you have ever envisioned anything good coming from Trump
Democrats, next time you have to decide between what you consider to be the lesser of two evils, look at the magnitude of the greater of two evils, and vote!
Pssst.... Trump can't run again - so unless, IMHO, the Democrats don't reject the radical left and move more towards the center, they will not win.

It is ironic that Republicans were more concerned about the budget and inflation and now they don't seem to care what tariffs will do.

It's ironic that Democrats didn't care about the price of eggs until Trump took office

Kind of like how Republicans didn't care about the price of eggs after Trump took office.

Though my honest answer to this is that Democrats did care, at least that I saw. They just tried to provide context about how the price was due to Avian flu and not about who was President -- again, a fact that Republicans only started agreeing with after Trump took office.

One of the reasons that Democrats lost the presidential election is that they were out of touch with the working class.
We were constantly told how good things were and while statistically that may have been true, it was not the reality for the majority of working class Americans, or at least it was not their perception.

And I won't argue that but it remains that Democrats understood prices had risen, just they tried pointing out it wasn't the fault of the President and that the US had recovered faster than the rest of the world. I think history shows us that the American voting public don't care about reasons for inflation, and don't care if the President handled it well or not, they instead tend to vote with their pocketbook. If prices are higher, they tend to vote for "the other guy."

The working class will bear the brunt of the tariffs and recession.

Which of their claims do you dispute and on what basis?
Just about everything but it really boils down to progressive leftists posting 'progressive leftist "we hate Trump"' articles using other progressive leftist 'we hate Trump' articles to support their position. If this article is accurate then it should also be in more moderate media writings. Find one that makes the same claims (with legitimate support) and I will concede the point. But I just don't believe these progressive leftist 'we hate Trump' hit pieces anymore. From the lack of criticism of the Biden Admin (as well has hiding his declining mental state) the mainstream media have proven themselves untrustworthy and unbelievable (except by other progressive leftists) in just about anything they write or produce.....IMHO.

The 2017 tax cuts never got to helping poor children.
Maybe because their parents don't make enough money to pay taxes? That would make sense, wouldn't it? I mean they are 'poor', right?
Last year my total income was about $40,000 but my taxable income was about $14,000 because SS makes up the bulk of what is available to me. So any tax cuts that come along do me absolutely no good. But I still like them because they help the economy and therefore they DO help me.

Earned income tax credits and child credits are "negative income taxes" that help offset Social Security, sales, utility, etc. Taxes even the poorest have to pay. It takes the place of welfare--a supplement to workers making low wages

Your comments were a terrible indictment of the American people as you acknowledged the terrible truth about the person you elected.
What does it say about the party that could not win against such a terrible person?

You think that it's a plus for the US? The rest of us are watching and thinking 'I didn't know it would get this bad...'

Things are not getting bad in the USA. Please just watch and wait as the USA gets better and better after the disastrous Joe Biden Administration.

You are losing friends all over the planet. These nonsensical tariffs haven't really been imposed yet. It's the calm before the storm.
