  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My grandmother is now 95 years old. She was diagnosed with Lukemia when I was in high school (I'm 38) and colon cancer when I was about 20. She has survived all this time with multiple kinds of cancer and has survived multiple falls and has outlived her 86 year old husband by over 11 years. I asked for prayer requests about 6 months ago because her cancer had progressed to stage 3 and she was near death. Her cancer is still in stage 3 but she is still alive and just recently turned 95. Praise God! May she live for a year or two more!

Recently about 2 months ago she fell and hurt herself again. It took her two months to recover because she's old but she's walking and doing things for herself again without my mom's help praise God!

She's had leukemia for about 20 years and she's still alive. It's just a miracle. About 5 years ago my father told me that her cancer wasn't doing too good and to get ready for her to pass so I posted a topic on here asking for prayers. She lived another 5 years it's just quite frankly a miracle. The woman is just superman when it comes to surviving she by all accounts should have passed ages ago.

My dad's father was the same way. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 84. He lived to be 89 and he fell and passed away before his 90th birthday. My dad's mom had cancer as well around the same time. She wasn't so lucky. They didn't find out she had cancer until it was too late. She passed away about a week after they found her cancer. She passed about a year after her husband did.

Cancer isn't a joke but my mom's mom is just superman. Had cancer for 20 years almost and still alive. She's definitely got the grace of God with her!
