Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not sure either. I'm sure it's meant to serve as an example. But I find New Testament teachings far more relevant to our times than the Old Testament because we don't do many things from the Old Testament anymore.

Back then they can have multiple wives and even concubines and accumulating material wealth is considered a good thing. You can imagine what else is different. It's like a different religion altogether. Messianics and Judaists would appreciate the OT. Not sure if we even have any such members browsing this part of the forum.

We have in John Chapter 8 when the Pharisees claimed to be children of Abraham. Our Lord's response is they are children of the devil. Things are so different back then.

I'm talking to Abraham about his own story. Yeah, it's not prescriptive.

His story continues in heaven. He will know what I'm trying to say.

To others, don't try it, and don't judge Abraham. Not everyone is a Abraham.

It's not for you if you are not hearing from the Lord. And that's okay.

There are war secrets to be kept hidden.

I see how Abraham is a greater warrior than all those mighty armies and I learned how the Lord would come with His Host of Armies to rescue us and protect us from the devil when it tries to harm us or take us captive (like those evil kings did in Genesis 14).

There is ONE same God from Genesis to Revelation. Things that happened in the past give us a glimpse into the future.

There are no religions in the Bible. There are tribes and nations. There is good and bad, life and death, love and hate, God and the devil.

If Pharisees and Abraham were to resurrect or come/visit Earth, how would you recognize them?

Would they look the same? But how would you know? What would be different about them?

Jesus was present in the Old Testament. He is the same yesterday and today, the same forever.

Don't you want to know the Jesus in the Old Testament? :)
