America is not a nation of immigrants and a lot of people forget that.

I still think we are a nation of immigrants. It's just a lot of the immigrants don't want to assimilate to our culture (and in some instances, I can understand why). Probably since the beginnings of America, people (and our schools taught) that we are made up of immigrants who came to the United States seeking a better life - the land of opportunity. There are a lot of immigrants who think that way and are extremely thankful for the open arms America has had for them. I'm proud that our country is made up of different nationalities and if we would treat each other more with love and respect, our country would thrive.

We should still have a screening process and tight borders but if someone wants to make a living here, welcome them with open arms. I like listening to Charlie Kirk. He has some very good points about immigration. I think though many European immigrants whose families have been here for generations get worried that the new immigrants want to throw out the Constitution of the United States and put some other form of Constitution in. One way to solve this problem is by voting on a Constitutional Amendment to make the Constitution permanent - never to be taken away. Yes, good amendments can be added but the basis of the original Constitution cannot EVER be changed.

So, love the alien as you do yourself and NEVER allow the original Constitution of the United States of America to be replaced with anything else.

PS: What would we do with the Immigrant Song by Led Zepplin if we stopped calling the people coming into our country immigrants ?
