  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We’re taking the long view’ - Why the American Solidarity Party runs for office...

As Republicans and Democrats compete in a fractious American election cycle, a small third-party is trying to woo Catholic voters, with a political vision it says is drawn from the principles of Catholic social teaching.

Peter Sonski, 61, is a Connecticut grandfather, a former local public school board member, and the presidential nominee for the American Solidarity Party, which says it promotes human life, social justice, environmental conservation, and international peace.

With a growing number of Catholics feeling disenfranchised from major political parties, the American Solidarity Party has in recent elections attracted interest among some Catholic voters. Sonski talked with The Pillar about his vision, his campaign, and his party’s future.

This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

That's all good. In fact it's really good. But they need to build a fire. Or we as a country are down the tubes. For starters, can I have a lawn sign? How do I get one?

Woo, my favorite party here. I want to vote for these guys. :) Christian, Catholic, pro-life from womb to tomb, pro-environment, anti-woke. Ahh, the best of both worlds. If by a miracle, Sonski could become president, he could change our country for the better, as long as corporations do not buy him out, and change his ideologies.

This is my guy, defending our Christian faith during the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.

I don't think they will be on the ballot in my state.
Darn. That sucks. Wouldn't it be nice if the United States was truly united, and that all ballots across all states had the same list of candidates to choose from for the elections?

Got to vote for the American Solidarity Party. It is truly Catholic. :)
Note that it is Catholic BUT it also has historical believing Protestant (Calvinist) roots in Europe and I believe could be very friendly to Jewish and maybe even Muslim believers.

In other words, this party is Christian, and could help other Abrahamic religions. :)

I forget the guy's name but one of the founders of the European Christian Democrats was a Calvinist and the Christian Democrats always had room for believing Protestants.

Here are some holding signs:

Here is a flag:

There are yard signs I seen on the internet. Lots of merchandise, t-shirts, campaign buttons, etc.

You can get a lot of it on Peter Sonski’s website here: Peter Sonski 2024
