  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Interesting fact about the Democrat nominee.

You do realize that we've now had three straight Presidential election cycles in which the Democrats refused to let their primary voters decide the nomination.

You realize that, right?

I've not seen any great outcry from the left demanding the right to vote for their candidate. It all seems to be coming from the right for some reason. As such "refusing to allow" is a bunch of hogwash.
If you all don’t care if you vote counts, and want your nominees picked by the elites, then at least you could save some money and not even have primaries.

That's not true. Both Hilary and Biden won a majority of delegates in primary elections. Before you mention the whole super delegate thing, if you discount all the votes of super delegates the election result wouldn't have been different. They could have swung the primary by all supporting Bernie, but that would have been against the majority of the primary result. And 2020 doesn't even have that questionable aspect to it.

No, I don't realize that. I voted in both of these primaries:

In both cases, the candidate I selected won both my state and the overall.

Good idea. They are expensive, time consuming and useless. How about if we just let the winner of America's Got Talent run?

I mean... we kind of did that already with The Apprentice.

Your concern for the fiscal well being of the DNC is touching. Last I heard they were getting donations like gang busters but you can always donate if you are worried.
