Apparently, it’s about a drag Queen and some parents might object to that per Amazon.

I’ve never read it so I really can’t give an opinion one way or the other.
The statement was the book tells children as young as 7 to cross dress. I have the book, I’d like to know what page.

I said the OP said that, I never said that. This is from the OP too: "One book is called "It Feels Good to Be Yourself: A Book About Gender Identity." It's designed to teach children as young 4 about concepts of transgenderism, non-binary, cisgender, etc."

Again, no comment since I never read it.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

It teaches transgenderism to children, which is wrong.

And yes, from a traditional Christian perspective, transgenderism is a serious sin that MUST be repented of before going to heaven.

No one is the victim here.

The opinions in the OP article about the books are clearly biased against anything LGBT and children. How can one truly have an opinion though, if they haven’t read them for themselves?

It's from a Catholic perspective, which finds LGBT activity sinful. Yes, it's biased, but those who support LGBT propaganda are also biased.

Ok, but you’re quoting the OP and are upset about it. What part of the book are you referring to? Which part got you upset? I’ll link it:

Super, but I was asking about the article you linked. What “very graphic” books are they objecting to? What content?

Riley, she is quoting books that she hasnt read, and are only railing against because of somebody else told her to be upset about it. The one book, the one that “teaches kids as young as 7” to cross dress? It does not. It doesn’t even imply it. She’s upset about something that doesn’t exist.

The other article? The one from 2022? The one she linked? It is about Muslim parents protesting the inclusion of books that have LGBT characters. They’re not protesting specific content and no specific books are mentioned, they don’t say there is “very graphic” content, only that heteronormative relationships should be the only thing in books in the library because that’s what they, as Muslims, feel is religiously appropriate.

She is just parroting what other people say. She has no knowledge of these books, or even what the protests are. She’s upset because a website told her she should be. She is poorly informed, at best.

Drug addiction is an 'illness'. I wouldn't be so hard on them.
It IS an illness AND a sin (drunkenness). I would also say that "alternative sexual and gender people were also born with a proclivity to that attraction.

No one should be discriminated against. Nor should any sin be endorsed or celebrated.

I’m the worst of sinners, trust me.
I agree

There were names of books and when they tried to read them out loud to the school board, it was so graphic, that the school board forbid them to be read at the meeting. Yet, they were in the school library. I already said that I can't post or link them because of their XXX content.

Show me where in the article you linked where it says that. Show me names of books. Show me that the school board said to stop reading because it was graphic.

It’s nowhere in that link you put up that I saw.

Post #316 and A mother in Dearborn, Mich., confronts the school board over libraries' inclusion of author Mike Curato's controversial book "Flamer." A man was forcibly removed by security at a Texas school board meeting Tuesday night as he attempted to read an LGBTQ graphic novel from the podium. Aug 23, 2023

There is a link to another article in the first one linked about the school board meeting that discusses more about the book bans and a list of six books in question. Book bans spreading across Michigan: What's driving them

The books that caused the controversy at the meeting are listed here in a quote from the above link: “The six books removed from circulation for review are "Push" by Sapphire, "All Boys Aren't Blue" by George M. Johnson, "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold, "Eleanor & Park" by Rainbow Rowell, "Red, White and Royal Blue" by Casey McQuiston and "This Book is Gay" by Juno Dawson.”

Is there “XXX” content in any of these books? No idea but the main objections from parents seems to be LGBT content.

That's why I said "AND". (It's easy to find this info on the internet, but won't post it here and get a ticket.)
From another article:
Parents continued to read explicit passages, two per person, prompting a handful of books to be discontinued.
The school’s legal team is researching whether speakers stopped from reading books due to inappropriate language would need to be discontinued.

Again, where in the article you linked, which you made all those claims about what was being said, was any of what you claimed?

I have no opinion on these books, but per Amazon reviews it appears they are geared at children? I honestly don’t know.

Unless I read it for myself, I won’t comment on it. That’s only fair.
