  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Now lets see the MSN article in July after the debate address. Notice what it calls Biden's "desperate bid to save his rel election"

Hmmm it appears that simply tossing around "Dirty Harry" memes is not "enough" to actually win an election any more. How "surprising".

This is a classic case of "emperor has no clothes"

But WORSE - it is a clue that certain media outlets were joining together to gas light the public about the reality of the declining status of a key American leader.


How sad -- at least for some.

How long do you think they will "pretend not to see"??

How long will the hand-puppet , shadow puppet show keep "convincing" voters to back the king for re-election?

When does the desire to actually win in November overcome the need to enable the Biden family to feel good about their hold on power?

Biden finds it easy to blame - his fail in the debate on travel schedule (even though he had 5 days R&R prior to the debate, with nothing but debate-prep on his schedule). -- Which admittedly is nowhere near the solution that would be needed to fix Biden and enable him to win in that debate scenario.

But given that he finds it so easy to blame travel events 5 days earlier for his fail -- wouldn't he find it even easier to blame a November fail - on his declining condition? I for one would buy that one without any difficulty at all.

I for one pray that some family member or friend will end what is looking a lot like "elder abuse" and give Joe a much needed rest in his declining years , rest that he can enjoy free of any criticism and complaints.

He has fallen down enough in public (literally fallen), meandered and wondered off enough, been embarrassed enough... we need to give this guy a break. Some things that have happened to him while meeting with world dignitaries - I would not wish on a worst enemy.

If I am understanding things correctly .... switching out a candidate at this point presents some complications .... likely the biggest one is the current campaign funds that Biden has

What happens to Bidens money if he drops out?

If Biden left the race (stepped down) and Harris didn't replace him as nominee, their former campaign could only transfer $2,000 of the money that had been collected to a new candidate.

Most certainly having access to campain funds is paramount for them. Bidens campaign fund is estimated to be $195 million.

If true ... then the only options they have is .... go with Joe ... or Joe steps down and Kamala will be the new nominee.

Almost always money drives decisions. We will see what happens.
