Why is this in the "American Politics" section? Well, it contains more proof that Justice Alito is all-politics.

A journalist went to a religious conservatives' convention posing as one of them, and got Justice Alito and his wife to make some very interesting comments on video.

The justice’s wife tells Windsor in the recording last week: “I want a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag because I have to look across the lagoon at the Pride flag for the next month,” Martha-Ann Alito said apparently referring to her vacation home on the New Jersey shore. Martha-Ann Alito goes on to say when her husband is “free of this nonsense” she will continue to fly her banners. “I’m putting it up and I’m gonna send them a message every day, maybe every week, I’ll be changing the flags.”

An AI detector tested to see if these videos could have been computer-generated, but failed to find evidence that they were.

Roberts was also recorded but was more circumspect in his comments.

If you don't resign after all this, Justice Alito, at least recuse yourself from the 1/6 case and Trump's immunity case. It is the only honorable step you can take.

Christian nationalist extremism.
Accepted pricey gifts from businesses courting his favor.
Attended the event where he was recorded--a meeting guaranteeing "access" to corporate lobbyists.
Arrogantly failing to recuse himself from cases he is too closely related to: 1/6, presidential immunity.
Should I continue?
If a convicted felonis elected in November he'll make a quick exit...with the convicted felon nominating another compromised, corrupt clone.

I think the methods were employed to expose someone who is far, far, far more dishonest and unethical.

And in addition to being far, far, far more dishonest and unethical, he is also powerful, and hiding his sins under his judicial robes, he thinks that he is untouchable.

He supported insurrection and overturning an election. He gladly accepted expensive perks from corporations trying to influence the Supreme Court.

He is a disgrace to the bench, and has made Americans completely lose faith in the Supreme Court.

2 out of 9--corrupt, arrogant, and untouchable as they hide behind their roles. That's 22 1/9% of the Supreme Court, corrupt, living in homes where Mrs. Thomas planned insurrections--and Mrs. Alito hung a treasonous flag and now says she will hang a flag with the Sacred Heart of Jesus during Pride Month because everyone knows (?) that Jesus hates gay people but loves traitors and revolutionaries with a cause---installing a convicted felon as President.

I’m much less concerned about the ethics of recording than I am the ethics of editing. I’m not putting much stock in the interpretations of this until the full thing is released.

Honestly, even the snippets I have seen don't seem particularly problematic. The worst is him agreeing when the other person says they should "return our country to a place of godliness" which doesn't seem extreme or problematic at all to me. So even if these things aren't edited in any way, I don't see any real issue here. And if they are edited (which they could be), then that just indicates desperation if this was the best they could come up with.
