Well, some parents do seek out support and support groups that have experience and knowledge on teh topic. They usually find those sources (literal) lifesavers.

I mean, in the sentence above, you say "the child may think they are the opposite sex but the parents know that's not real", but you also are willing to argue that there are children who do not revert bak to their original gender.

(FWIW mental health support for everyone is pretty important). I am not sure that the way our current society and economic structures are functioning supports sound mental health.

are you sure? Sometimes they hide it well. I’m not saying that to be snarky. When I learned a college classmate was actually transgendered I was very shocked because I had no idea….they were very….masculine.

I get it.

Tackling any real problems like greed, the lack of good stewardship, violence or human suffering takes effort, might be dangerous or dirty and could even require changing yourself. It's far easier to fight against the sexual behaviour people not like you exhibit. That way, not only do you not have to change yourself, but you also do not have to put any effort into it. You just denounce anyone different to yourself and get to feel like a hero, fighting the good fight against ultimate evil in its ultimate form.

I hope you find this behaviour rewarding.

The fixation on people’s gender these days is wild. I wish I had the time and mental space in my life that I could say my most pressing concern is if the person next to me who appears to be female might secretly have a penis.

The sports thing? I get that because there needs to be a standardized solution applied across all scenarios so that expectations and benchmarks for success and guidelines for play are universally applied.

But the same old cast of characters coming from the woodworks to rail on how people present themselves and if it aligns to their genitals… Boring and played all the way out.
