I jump around to much for that. I can not focus the way most people can.
Some people need to get over themselves. Lean not on your own understanding; Prov 3:5

Yes, Lord, walking in the way of Your laws, we wait for You; Isaiah 26:8
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen
any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. Isaiah 64:4

It will be said in that day, “Indeed, this is our God for whom we have waited that He would save us.
This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us shout for joy and rejoice in His salvation. Isaiah 25:9

Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; Isaiah 26:8
For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9

They will see the work of my hands in their midst; [They will know that I have blessed them Psalm 3:8]
[Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! Isaiah 8:16-18, Hebrews 2:10-13]
They will sanctify the Holy One and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Those who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who complain will accept instruction. Isaiah 29:23-24

Bring an end to wickedness [Prov 12:3] and establish the righteous; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds; Psalm 7:9
I, the Lord, search the heart, test the mind, I will give to each justly, according to the fruit of his doings; Jeremiah 17:10
The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, [Philippians 4:7] Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:2-4
_____________________________________________________________
Test me and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

In 1 John 3:9 John explains a true believer cannot live perpetually in sin "because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin (habitually), because he is born of God."

1 John 1:8

King James Bible
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 3:4 ESV

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

According to what you are saying then makes 1 John 1:8 untrue ... so that can not be.

We always have a choice to sin or not.

Not all our sin is from satan ... we have a sinful nature (the lust of the flesh)

The idea that the devil makes us sin is false. When we sin, it is because we choose to sin, not because the devil makes us sin. He tempts ... but we do not have to yield to his temptations ... nor do we have to yield to the lust of our flesh. We make choices.

We do mess up here and there (sin) ... it's a matter of if we continue practicing sin or not ... if God be in us .. we will not continuously live in sin ... with His power through the Holy Spirit we will overcome it and sin will not overcome us. It is not that we won't sin at all ... it is that we won't remain in sin .... if we willingly remain in sin then that is the ultimate work of satan .... and that is the promise of God if we remain in Him ... we can not be overcome by living in sin that leads to the 2nd death if God be within us. If God be within us ... the Holy Spirit will lead us to repentance ... and we go to Him and receive forgiveness by His mercy.

“Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil. . . . No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God” (1 John 3:8–9). Unrepentant sin should disturb us until we genuinely repent and receive mercy. If it doesn't bother us then we have given ourselves over to sin.

Not sure ... but seems you are putting forth the once saved always saved doctrine ???

God didn't come into the world to excuse us to continue to live in sin ... He came to give us the power to overcome it.

1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

When Jesus is working in us ... when we are tempted He always presents the better way (His way) as a choice ... He does not force himself on anyone ever.

The point is .... we can not constantly live in sin .... if we are constantly living in sin (then we are not repentant) then God is not in us and we are deceiving ourselves ( 1 John 1:8)

It's not that we will not sin or can not sin .... it's that we will be led to repentance if we do sin.

James 4:7, NKJV. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Everyday is a battle with sin .... the more we continue to resist the devil he will eventually flee (he does not give up easily and often will return at times) ... this is why we must put on the full Armour of God daily (His Word) ... it is our protection from evil .. prompting us to choose the better way.

Just looking at 1 John 3:9 , John says , that if one IS BORN // GENNAO , is in the Greek , PERFECT TENSE and that means that you can not SIN .

And 1 John 3:6 says Whosoever in him sinneth hath NOT // OV , is a DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGAIVE and means not seen Him , NEITHER Known Him .

It's not that we do not sin .... if God be with us ... He will lead us to confess and repent and we will receive forgiveness ... Repentance .... turn away from sin ... not continually live in it.

No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 6 Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. 6 No one who lives deeply in Christ makes a practice of sin.

If one is continuously living in sin they don't know God.

1 John 1:8-10 ESVIf we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

When we sin (and we most certainly do) we confess and repent ... if we are not led to do that then we don't know God because we are ignoring the Holy Spirit to confess and repent ... if we continue to ignore the Holy Spirit (keep on sinning) ... at some point in time God will remove His spirit...because at that point it is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit ... unpardonable.

It's conditional on confessing and repentance (turning away from sin)

So, the "perfect tense" is conditional upon confessing and repentance.

In 1 John 1:10 says , IF ( WE SAY // EIPON ) is in the Greek AORIST TENSE , which is talking about SINNING in the Past and in the GREEK ACTIVE VOICE , IN THE Subjuncative mood , in the first person and in the Plural.

And these that are BORN AGAIN , cannot sin as they are BORN AGAIN .

It is not speaking to Gentiles as we can sin today , until we are CAUGHT UP and that we will forever be with the Lord !!

In 1 John 2:1 John recognizes that no Christian measures up to the ideal of not sinning; therefore, the need for an Advocate. However, as 1 John 3:9 is translated in the KJV it appears John is saying the proof we are genuine Christians is that we don’t sin anymore! To gain a proper in its context 1 John 3:4-9, which reads, “4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (KJV)

In 1 John 3:4 John says sin manifests itself in lawless rebellion and willful defiance of God, His character being expressed in the Law. In 1 John 3:5 John proclaims that Christ, who had no sin, came to earth for the purpose of taking away our sins. In 1 John 3:6 John informs us as Christians we need to abide (no one who lives in Him) so we will not keep on doing sin.

In the Greek word translated “abide” is a present active participle, meaning to continually remain or abide in Him. The word translated “sin” in the Greek is present indicative active, indicating continual action. In other words, John says in 1 John 3:6 if you are not continually abiding in Christ but instead are living in continual sin, you don’t know Him!

In 1 John 3:7 John says those that continually “doeth” righteousness (“do” Gk poieō) – present active participle, indicating habitual action) prove they are righteous. In 1 John 3:8 he writes that those who continually commit sin are of the devil. Again, the Greek word translated “committeth” is a present active participle, indicating habitual action.

Then in 1 John 3:9 John writes that whosoever is born of God does not continually commit sin, doesn’t live a habitual lifestyle of sin. Once again, the word translated “commit” is a present active participle, meaning one born again doesn’t live a lifestyle of sin. The reason the Christian doesn’t live a lifestyle of sin, is God’s seed, His divine life, remains in the believer (1 John 3:9).

Christ indwells the believer who instills within the Christian the desire to flee from sin and enables the Christian to live a victorious life whereby sin is not the habit or way of one’s life.

# 1 hen looking up the Greek word ABIDETH it is a PARICIPLE IT says it is a verbal adjective , ENDING in in ING

# 2 That means it should be ABIDING instead of ABIDETH .

# 3 What do you mean , in 1 John 3: 9 means " BORN OF GOD " does not continually SIN ?

# 4 Do you a verse HOW we are BORN AGAIN , TODAY ??

# 5 Your thoughts on Eph 2:8 and Rom 10:9 and 10 ?
