⑥ to pass through an area, go through
⑦ to stop at a place as one comes by, come to, come by, come here
Passing by and passing away have different nuances. The prefix preposition παρα carries a strong sense of by.

Matt 24:
There was the present time and the upcoming time of destination. The situation will change.
This generation will not transit completely until all these things take place. It will not pass by/away/through to reach its destination of glorified bodies on the last day.
Heaven and earth will transit or pass by/away to become new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1).
Jesus' words are not transient. They will not pass by/away or change. They are permanent.
